  • Publication number: 20210374295
Abstract: Disclosed are methods and interfaces for depicting a plurality of properties of a material, such as a haptic coating. In some aspects, gauges each expressing a property of the material may be displayed. Each property that collectively may describe the material may be defined along a gradient each of two opposing characteristics. Each of the physical properties may have an interrelationship with one or more of the other physical properties, such that when a particular value or quantity of one physical property is chosen, the other physical properties are constrained to a certain degree. The example gauges disclosed herein provide an interface that allows a user to easily understand these constraints and also allows for user friendly and intuitive manipulation of desired physical properties.

  • Publication number: 20210097211
Abstract: Disclosed are methods of producing a graphical depiction of a predicted value of a property of a material. In accordance with the method, a processing unit generates a plot defining a geometric shape and comprising a plurality of points arranged in a matrix, each of the points defining a value for at least two variables and a predicted value of a property of the material. A visual representation of the predicted value of the property of the material for at least some of the plurality of points in a range of indicia is displayed on an output device. The range of indicia represents a range of predicted values of the property. A pointer on the visual representation is displayed on the output device.

  • Patent number: 9796807
Abstract: Compositions for forming molded articles, particularly, shells for automotive applications are made up of melt blends of an aliphatic thermoplastic urethane elastomer and one or more polyolefin-based modifiers. These compositions may be blended to form a powder, pellets, microspheres or minibeads which may then be cast to form air bag door and instrument panel cover skins which may meet automotive deployment and weathering requirements.

    Filed: August 8, 2008
Date of Patent: October 24, 2017
    Assignee: Covestro LLC
Inventors: William M. Humphrey, Paul Drago, Terry L. Anderson, James R. Charron
  • Patent number: 9708438
Abstract: Compositions for forming molded articles, particularly, shells for automotive applications are made up of melt blends of aliphatic thermoplastic urethane elastomer and an olefin-containing block copolymer crosslinked to a gel content of from 5 to 95%. These compositions may be blended to form a powder, pellets, microspheres or minibeads which may then be cast to form air bag door and instrument panel cover skins which may meet automotive deployment and weathering requirements.

  • Patent number: 7179882
Abstract: The present invention relates to low viscosity polymer polyols and to a process for the preparation of these low viscosity polymer polyols. These polymer polyols comprise the free-radical polymerization product of (A) a base polyol, (B) a pre-formed stabilizer, and (C) at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer, in the presence of (D) at least one free-radical polymerization initiator, and (E) at least one polymer control agent. The total amount of polymer control agent present in the polymer polyols of the present invention ranges from greater than about 5.0% up to about 20% by weight, based on 100% by weight of the polymer polyol.
