Publication number: 20090056248Abstract: An enclosure includes a base. A frame includes a plurality of frame members. The frame members are coupled together and to the base using clips. Each clip includes a base coupled to a side surface of a first frame member. The clip further includes at least one lip extending from the base. The lip is sufficiently raised from the side surface of the first frame member to accept at least a portion of a second frame member between the lip and the side surface. A plurality of panels is coupled to the frame members. At least one panel is coupled to the base.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 27, 2007Publication date: March 5, 2009Applicant: Air Handling Equipment LLCInventors: David Pflum, James Regan

Patent number: 6538987Abstract: A system with predefined primary and secondary routes sets up corresponding virtual circuits over both routes. A destination node maintains primary and secondary sets of routing tables that contain, respectively, routing information over each of the rings for every virtual circuit. A destination node disables the appropriate entries in the routing tables for the non-selected route, such that the node ultimately discards the traffic received over that route. To switch a virtual path, and thus all of the virtual circuits included therein, from the selected route to the nonselected route, the destination node disables and enables the appropriate entries in the primary and the secondary routing tables, to switch from using the set-up virtual circuits on the selected route to using the set-up virtual circuits on the non-selected route. To detect an event that triggers protection switching, such as path failure, the system uses “Continuity OAM cells” to provide path status information to the nodes.Type: GrantFiled: March 25, 1999Date of Patent: March 25, 2003Assignee: Ciena CorporationInventors: Dan Cedrone, Walter Dray, Ed Klein, James Regan, Bappa Sinha, Ming-Teh Ma, Jeffrey Weiss

Patent number: 6501595Abstract: An optical amplifier comprises a doped fiber and a pump source for providing pump light to the fiber. A power measurement circuit is provided for measuring the output power of the amplifier and a disable circuit is controlled to disable the pump source in response to the output power of an output pulse exceeding a predetermined limit. In this way, power surges can be avoided. Preferably, the predetermined limit takes into account the duration of the output pulse, so that the disable circuit can be tailored to pulse power versus pulse duration standardised limits.Type: GrantFiled: March 30, 2000Date of Patent: December 31, 2002Assignee: Nortel Networks LimitedInventors: Jonathan Drake, Jonathan W Gill, James Regan

Patent number: 6275331Abstract: In a WDM optical transmission system employing optical amplifiers in its transmission path, a supervisory signal channel, used for monitoring and controlling the operation of the amplifiers and spectrally separated from the data transmission, may be multiplexed with the data. A construction of amplifier is disclosed which is capable of being upgraded with an upgrade of the transmission system to include additional data handling capacity, for instance data transmission in an additional waveband and/or in the opposite direction, without interruption of the pre-upgrade data transmission path through the amplifiers. This is accomplished by the use of channel dropping and insertion filters disposed so that the amplifying data transmission path extends via the drop/insertion channel of those filters.Type: GrantFiled: June 30, 1999Date of Patent: August 14, 2001Assignee: Nortel Networks LimitedInventors: Kevan P Jones, Roger M Gibb, Robert A Baker, Martin P Poettcker, Mark E Bray, Barrie Flintham, James Regan, Toby J Reid, Alan A Solheim, Robert W Keys, Mark R Hinds, Joseph Mun, Nigel E Jolley, Alan Robinson, Jonathan P King, Simon P Parry

Patent number: 6146359Abstract: Infusate warming apparatus comprises a housing defining an internal cavity. A lossy asymmetric transmission line is situated in the housing which transmission line includes an elongated electrical conductor having opposite ends and a conduit for conducting infusate which is highly absorptive to electromagnetic energy of a first frequency through the housing in close proximity to the conductor. A connector extends into the housing for coupling an external electromagnetic signal of the first frequency to one end of the conductor so as to subject the infusate to an energy field which heats the infusate. A temperature sensor for sensing the infusate temperature and controlling the signal to maintain a constant infusate delivering temperature is also disclosed.Type: GrantFiled: November 25, 1997Date of Patent: November 14, 2000Assignee: Microwave Medical Systems, Inc.Inventors: Kenneth L. Carr, James Regan
