Abstract: An improvement in method and apparatus of fluidized beds involving heat or combustion by pre-heating the exterior and interior of the fluidized bed in unison through the use of an exterior chamber surrounding the fluidized bed chamber. This exterior chamber also provides equalization of fluidizing gas temperature with internal fluid bed temperatures during operation of the bed and allows for a scaling down of the fluidized bed to a small size without sacrificing high efficiency.
