  • Patent number: 4107871
Abstract: A propulsion toy consists of an enlarged disc member, a launching device to which the disc member is attached and a launchable rotor member. The rotor member is disposed forwardly of the disc and releasably engaged with the launching device. When the launching device is operated, the rotor member is set into rapid rotation and the blades thereof react against the foward surface of the disc to thus disengage the rotor member and to permit the same to be propelled forwardly.

  • Patent number: 4076251
Abstract: An amusement device including a simulated cheese having inlet orifices for a ball and a plurality of exit orifices some of which receive simulated mice therein, and a random distributing assembly located inside the simulated cheese for randomly directing a ball entering the inlet orifices toward one of the exit orifices. If a mouse is present in the randomly selected exit orifice, it is forced out thereof by the ball. If a mouse is not present, the ball passes through the orifice unimpeded.

  • Patent number: 4032687
Abstract: An applique is attachable by pressure sensitive adhesive or the like to a supporting surface. The applique includes a base sheet, a layer of color changeable liquid crystalline material disposed upon the base sheet, and a transparent covering layer overlying the liquid crystalline layer. The applique is removable for use as a novelty or a premium item and is color changeable by application of heat, such as from the user's fingers, to the applique since such heat causes a color change in the liquid crystalline layer.

  • Patent number: 4007936
Abstract: A novelty closure consists of a container cover, such as that used in connection with soft drink cups, and a puzzle means coupled with said cover at the central portion thereof. The puzzle means takes the form of a planar member having indicia imprinted thereon and having depressions therein and small spherical balls are movably mounted upon the planar member so that by manual manipulation of the cover the balls can be rolled into the depressions.

  • Patent number: 3980300
Abstract: A novelty device in the form of a color-changing amusement ball comprising a spherical body member, a transparent spherical cover concentrically surrounding the body member and spaced therefrom to define a spherical cavity, and a layer of liquid crystalline material disposed within the cavity. The liquid crystalline material is responsive to temperature changes and/or deformational stresses applied thereto so that the material changes color with a change in temperature to which the ball is exposed and/or on deformation of the ball which can be accomplished by impacting the ball against a hard surface.

  • Patent number: 3957202
Abstract: A novelty drinking straw has a layer of liquid crystalline material disposed thereon. As liquid is drawn through the straw, the color of said liquid crystalline material changes.

  • Patent number: 3936050
Abstract: A tether ball game includes an upstanding pole having a ball connected thereto by a string. At least two movable contact members can be manually operated to hit the ball and to cause the ball and the string to wrap around the pole. The contact members are carried by mounting means which are horizontally movable toward and away from the pole and which are rotatable to hit the ball and propel the same in the desired direction.

  • Patent number: 3936052
Abstract: An upstanding face member, having decorative indicia thereon in the form of a pirate ship, is provided with an aperture. A pair of projectile firing devices are positioned behind the face member, with the barrels from the firing devices extending through the face member to simulate guns. A plurality of pirate-simulating targets are rotatably mounted for movement from an upright position extending above the face member to a collapsed position. Such movement of the targets occurs when the targets are struck by projectiles fired from an opponent's firing device. A container is mounted behind the aperture and is movable between a closed object-containing position and an open position where objects are released through the aperture. A controlling member coacts with the targets and the container to retain the container in its closed position so long as at least one of the targets remains in its upright position.
