    Abstract: A bag with reinforced walls has four walls formed into a rectangular prismatic shape with a closed bottom. Each wall has a flap opposite the bottom of a rectangular shape. A flap has less width than a wall. Upon each flap is a first strip and upon each wall is a second strip where the first and second strips mutually align. During use, each flap is folded over a frame and the strips mutually engage. Each wall merges with two adjacent walls upon a fold line. Where the flaps of adjacent walls adjoin, each wall and each flap has a reinforcing layer. The reinforcing layer extends partially along the flap and partially down the wall. The reinforcing layer has a generally narrow and elongated shape.

    Abstract: A paper guide wheel for printing presses is formed to include an outer surface eccentric with respect to the axis of rotation of the wheel so as to form an air gap between the outer surface of the wheel and the paper as the paper is drawn thereover during movement through the press. The air gap gradually narrows as the wheel turns, allowing the freshly inked surface of the paper to gently nest against the outer surface at a point removed from the leading edge of the paper. The outer surface has a slightly convex contour in the axial direction to avoid marking of the paper by contact with the axial extremes of the outer surface. Foam material may be provided on the wheel rim to assist in supporting the paper without marking the freshly inked image.

    Abstract: A pneumatic axially oscillated, frictionally rotated roller is disclosed and may be used in the ink or damping systems of a printing press. The roller features an internal air piston-cylinder construction that causes the axial motion but permits the roller to freely rotate. Further, several air cylinders can be stacked on each side of the roller to permit even a small diameter roller to be pneumatically oscillated. The roller, when used as an ink form roller, may be operated to oscillate in synchronization with an adjacent oscillating, vibrating roller to continually diagonally redistribute the ink so as to eliminate or minimize "ghosting". The foregoing is accomplished by controlling the oscillation of the form roller to move axially in a direction opposite of that of the vibrating roller. The lengths of the strokes of the two rollers may differ or be the same.
