Abstract: An earbud assembly and associated method of decorating an earbud assembly are provided. The assembly generally includes a housing configured to be inserted at least partially into an ear and an electro-acoustic transducer disposed in the housing to receive electrical signals and convert the electrical signals into sounds. The housing defines a male connector that extends from a side of the housing and is configured to receive a female connector thereon so that the male connector is disposed in a cavity of the female connector and engages the female connector, thereby securing to the housing a decorative accessory that is fixedly attached to the female connector.
