  • Publication number: 20220117287
Abstract: A blancher includes a tank and auger. The tank has a wall defining an interior space at least partially cylindrical with end walls. The auger is in the interior space and has flights Each flight has a circumferential edge in close proximity to the wall. The flights move food product from one end to the other as the augur is turned. The auger is preferably supported by a trunnion ring extending through the end wall and as the trunnion ring turns the augur and of flights are turned. An inlet is preferably located at one end wall and located along a center line of the augur. An outlet is preferably a discharge chute extending through the other end wall. The auger preferably includes at least one lifting flight between the plurality of flights and the end, such that the lifting flight lifts the food product to the discharge chute.

  • Patent number: 10740548
Abstract: Methods and apparatus are presented for flexibly building a dynamic report using a heterogeneous mix of dimensions, segments, and metrics. Within a report building tool a user may introduce any number of dimensions and segments at any point within a generated report. Further within the report building tool, a user may break down existing dimensions and segments within a report with nested dimensions and segments, which may be added without limits on a nesting level. Given a generated report, a user may pivot the generated report, where the pivot includes pivoting any heterogeneous combination of dimensions, segments, and metrics within the generated report defined along each axis. Further, the pivot operation maintains the relative groupings and nestings of dimensions, dimension items, segments, and metrics in going from a column to a row or from a row to a column.

  • Patent number: 5791493
Abstract: Apparatus for classifying high purity polysilicon particles includes a receptacle for holding the particles and a rotary member for feeding the particles from the receptacle. The rotary member defines at least a portion of a front wall of the receptacle and is supported for rotation about its generally horizontally oriented longitudinal axis. A motor drives rotation of the rotary member such that a longitudinal groove passes through the receptacle to pick up particles smaller than a predetermined size and dump the captured particles onto an inclined surface disposed generally forward of the receptacle. The particles slide downwardly acquiring a velocity according to their shape. A gap between a lower edge of the inclined surface and a first receiver is sized such that only particles having more than a predetermined velocity are capable of traversing the gap to the first receiver. The remaining particles fall through the gap and into a second receiver.

  • Patent number: 5454453
Abstract: A break-away bracket for connecting structural beams in a vehicle such as connecting a transmission cross-member to a frame rail. The break-away bracket connects to the cross-member by use of a connecting pin. During normal operation, the cross-member is fixed to the bracket, which, in turn, is welded to the frame rail and acts as a normal fixed bracket. During the imposition of excessive loads on the front of the vehicle, a slot connecting between a hole for the connecting pin and an edge of the bracket allows the pin and cross-member to pull away from a portion of the bracket. The bracket yields, allowing axial displacement between the cross-member and the frame rail while still keeping the connection between the two components intact.

  • Patent number: 4522152
Abstract: A feeder for pets and other animals. The feeder is comprised of a top feed storage and hopper leading to a metering valve. The valve is of hollow cylindrical construction having an axial slot which acts as a fill opening and when rotated to selected positions acts as a weir where feed can overflow to an underlying weather protected animal feeding compartment. The hopper comprises plates which may be removed for ready filling of the entire feeder for self-feeding purposes. The compartment has a dish shaped bottom and may receive a congruent feed dish in nesting relation.
