  • Patent number: 7086642
Abstract: A rackable gate having a gate panel with spaced-apart rails connected to a plurality of first pickets and a second picket. The second picket attaches to the respective rails on a side edge opposing the attachment of the first pickets to the rail. Distal opposing ends of the rails are received and pivotally secured in openings defined in opposing gate posts. The gate racks or moves so that the rails are disposed at an oblique angle relative to the pickets. The opposing fastening of the second picket and the opposing distal end of the rail received in the post restrict the rail from pivoting away from the pickets when the panel is racked to track the contour of the terrain. A method of making a rackable gate is disclosed.

  • Patent number: 5203107
Abstract: A fishing line limit (10) includes a body (12) having an outer margin (14) that is ovoid or capsule-shaped. The body (12) has a notch (16) that extends substantially radially inwardly relative to the major axis (13) of the body (12). The notch (16) receives a fishing line (30) to attach the fishing line limit (10) by frictional engagement at preselected locations along the length of the fishing line. The notch (16) has a transverse dimension which is less than the relaxed diameter of the fishing line. The outer margin (14) defines a predetermined diametral dimension that exceeds the inside diameter of an eyehole of a bobber or other object.

  • Patent number: 5142809
Abstract: A fishing rod holder (10) has a tube member (20), a support (22), a spacer (24), and a clamp (26). The clamp (26) has a base (100), a first platen (102) attached to the base (100) at a first hinge (134), and a second platen (104) attached to the base (100) at a hinge (134), and a second platen (104) attached to the base (100) at a second hinge (136). The clamp (26) attaches to a gunwale (12) or like surface by setting the base (100) upon the gunwale (12) and collapsing the first platen (102) and the second platen (104) about the sides (16, 18) of the gunwale (12) by folding at the hinges (134, 136) and inserting a bolt (158) through a hole (120) in the base (100) and a hole (142) in the first platen (102) to secure the first platen (102). Likewise, the second platen (104) is secured by inserting a bolt (160) through a hole (122) in the base (100) and a hole (152) in the second platen (104).
