  • Publication number: 20240270281
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for calibrating and aligning automotive sensors, such as advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) sensors. Embodiments include a system having an image sensor mounted on a fixture in a known pose relative to the fixture. The image sensor is for viewing a target disposed on a vehicle and having a known pose relative to the vehicle, and for capturing image data of the target. A data processor is provided for performing the steps of calculating, using the image data, a pose of the target; calculating a pose of the image sensor relative to the vehicle using the calculated pose of the target; and generating instructions for positioning the fixture at a predetermined pose relative to the vehicle using the calculated pose of the image sensor relative to the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20100223762
Abstract: An attaching device for removably attaching various types of display objects to a hat. The attaching device has a fastener for engaging with the display object and a spring member for retaining the fastener therein and attaching to a button of the hat. The fastener is in the form of a plastic ring with a plurality of tabs projecting from a bottom rim thereof. The spring member has an upper spring portion, a lower spring portion and a joint spring portion connecting the upper and lower spring portions. The upper spring portion has an inner perimeter substantially the same as the maximum radial extent of the tabs, such that the plastic ring can be inserted therein. A plurality of protrusions is formed to extend inwardly from the inner perimeter of the upper spring portion. The protrusions are outline with a profile mating that of the tabs, such that the plastic ring can be secured interlocked with the spring member.

  • Patent number: 7389567
Abstract: A removable hat accessory, having a display object and an attaching device. The display object has an opening extending axially and upwardly from a bottom thereof. The attaching device has a fastener for holding the attaching device to the display object, and a spring member for removably attaching the hat accessory to a button of a hat or a cap. To attach the hat accessory to the hat, the lower portion of the spring is slid under the hat button.

  • Patent number: 6663670
Abstract: A long bone prosthesis includes upper and lower articulating components, with the free ends of the components configured to engage a corresponding prosthetic joint. The overall length of the articulating components is adjustable to approximate the length of a patient's long bone, such as the humerus. The articulating components include a stem and collet arrangement for fixing the relative axial and rotational position of the components. A tapered lock nut is threaded onto the outer threaded surface of the collet portion to provide a pressure engagement of the articulating elements. Various surface features can be implemented among the components of the prosthesis to enhance the pressure fixation, restrict rotation or provide indexed movement of the articulating components relative to each other.

  • Patent number: 3990987
Abstract: A smoke generator is disclosed which is particularly suitable for mounting on the wing tips of an aircraft and for conducting airflow studies. The device includes a network of thermally insulated tubes for carrying a fluid which is used to produce smoke. The fluid, which need not be combustible, is heated above its vaporization temperature by electric current which is passed through the fluid conduit tubes, so that the tubes serve both as fluid conduits and resistance heating elements. Fluid supply and monitoring systems and electrical control systems are also disclosed.
