  • Patent number: 8768818
Abstract: Initially the amount of data is checked to determine whether a sufficient history is present for the method. Credit card accounts are classified as new, relatively new, and old cards, i.e. opened within six months, within twelve months, and over twelve months ago. The balances for each of the three categories are calculated for each month. The average balance percentages of cards opened within six months and twelve months for the last twenty-four months is calculated and teaser surfers are defined as either having average percentages within the last twenty-four months for all credit cards opened within six and twelve months are greater than predefined percentages.

  • Patent number: 7873555
Abstract: A system and method capable of automatically rebalancing financial portfolios to optimality, are disclosed. Using stored customer-defined optimization data, the system determines if the current portfolio is imbalanced beyond a customer-defined tolerance level and if so, it transmits a “rebalancing-needed” alert message and a list of recommended rebalancing transactions via customer-defined communications methods. The customer reads the message and decides if he wishes to authorize portfolio rebalancing. To authorize portfolio rebalancing, the customer merely responds to the alert message. In a preferred embodiment, the customer's response may constitute performing a single action, such as pressing a button or speaking a sound. After the authenticity of the received customer response is verified, the system implements the customer's single response by transmitting execution instructions to an electronic trading system, which in turn executes the rebalancing transactions to optimize the portfolio.

  • Patent number: 7424451
Abstract: A system, computer code, and method are disclosed for solving optimization problems using prestored data groups pertaining to a plurality of anticipated optimization problems, whereby optimization problems can be solved much faster with fewer iterations. The method may comprise storing a plurality of data groups each associated with one of a plurality of anticipated optimization problems, each of the data groups including optimal solutions to a corresponding anticipated optimization problem; and solving the current optimization problem using the stored data groups.
