Abstract: A kickbar assembly for use in lifting and dumping a refuse container into a hopper of a rear load refuse vehicle, the kickbar assembly comprising: a pair of base frames configured to be connected to side walls of the refuse vehicle, an elongated generally U-shaped lifting implement having a pair of opposed ends pivotably connected to the respective base frames, a pair of electrically powered linear actuators, each of the linear actuators being pivotably connected to one of the respective base frames and one of the respective opposed ends of the lifting implement, the lifting implement being pivotably connected to the base, wherein the linear actuators move the lifting implement from a refuse container engaging lower position to an upper position to dump contents from the refuse container into the hopper, and further move the lifting implement to the lower position to return the refuse container to the ground surface.

Abstract: A lifting device for use in lifting and dumping a refuse container, the lifting device comprising: a base connected to a frame that supports the lifting device, a body movably connected to the base and configured to engage the refuse container, an electrically powered linear actuator connected to the base and to the body, wherein the lifting device is configured to move the body from a lower position to a pick-up position to engage the refuse container when the refuse container is on a ground surface and to further move to an upper position to dump contents from the refuse container, and to move the body to the pick-up position to return the refuse container to the ground surface.

Abstract: A trunnion bar locker assembly for a rear load refuse vehicle for use when dumping a refuse container having a trunnion bar, includes a pair of spaced apart locking assemblies, each locking assembly further including a base frame to be connected to the refuse vehicle, a trunnion bar receiver connected to the base frame, a locker door connected to the base frame and having an open position wherein the trunnion bar receiver removably receives an end of the trunnion bar of the refuse container, and a closed position wherein the pivotable locker door confines the end of the trunnion bar in the receiver, an electrically powered actuator coupled to the base frame and to the pivotable locker door, and a controller connected to each respective locking assembly to control the actuator to move the pivotable locker door between the open and closed positions.

A support is provided that is adapted to be pivotally mounted adjacent to the loading area of either the refuse container or the vehicle. First and second support arms are provided that are carried by the pivoting support. The support arms are movable relative to the support frame between a first position in which the support arms are adjacent the refuse container or vehicle and a second position in which the support arms are relatively angularly disposed with their free ends being spaced outwardly away from the support frame. A container capturer is provided for engaging and releasing a smaller refuse collection cart, and the free ends of each of the support arms are adapted to carry the container capturer.

Abstract: A refuse receptacle lifter is disclosed that is mounted on a transporter secured to the front end of a collection vehicle rearwardly of an associated collection container. The transporter is adapted to move the lifter in a generally side-to-side direction relative to the collection container in order to move the lifter between a retracted position and a position in which it is spaced from the collection container so that it can engage a refuse receptacle. If the collection vehicle does not have a collection container. being carried on the front of the vehicle, the lifter may be moved to stored position generally adjacent to the front end of the vehicle.

The preferred cart lifter comprises a base and preferably has a lift member pivotally mounted with respect to the base for engaging the upper engagement surface of a refuse cart and a hook for capturing the lower engagement surface on the cart. An actuator is mounted to the base and is operatively attached to the lift member and hook for moving them between a lower and a raised and inverted positions. An actuator arm pivotally connects the base to the hook and the hook is mounted for movement between a position for capturing the lower engagement surface of the collection cart and a retracted position.
