James Robert Uplinger, II has filed for patents to protect the following inventions. This listing includes patent applications that are pending as well as patents that have already been granted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

  • Patent number: 11879935
Abstract: A device and method to test microelectronic parts to determine whether the parts are compromised by active illumination in a testing fixture within a shielded enclosure by analysis of emission metrics. The testing fixture can include a first layer with a capacitive member and a second layer with a cavity to receive a microelectronic part. A filter in a transmission chain can pass a high power signal to the fixture. A filter in a receving chain can pass a low power signal to the analysis unit.

  • Patent number: 11489847
Abstract: A method for detecting, in a real-time manner, a presence or an absence of a an anomaly in or a cyber attack onto a medical apparatus comprises the steps of capturing, with an antenna, one or more emissions of electromagnetic energy from the processing devices within medical apparatus; converting, with a receiver coupled to the antenna, the one or more emissions from an analog to a digital form; generating, with a controller, a digital signal in a time domain; converting, the digital signal from the time domain to a frequency domain, the digital signal containing a signature of cross modulation products from the non-linear attachments; processing, in the frequency domain, the signature of cross modulation products to determine mixing characteristics of the cross modulation products; and detecting, based on the mixing characteristics, the absence or the presence of the anomaly or the cyber attack.

  • Patent number: 11300558
Abstract: An apparatus and system to nondestructively analyze 2D and 3D cell cultures for cell health using a combination of RF spectroscopy and a radio tomography. The apparatus acquires a signal using a low noise, highly sensitive detector. The signals are combined and compared to the signal of healthy cells.

Date of Patent: April 12, 2022
    Assignee: NOKOMIS, INC.
Inventors: James Robert Uplinger, II, Vladimir Makarenko
  • Patent number: 11229379
Abstract: A method and apparatus is provided for the analysis of gaseous compounds, especially for determining the concentration of a gas or gases in a gas mixture by microwave spectroscopy. Microwave radiation is generated at one or more frequencies the gas is most responsive to, transmitted by antenna, passed through the gas under test, received by antenna, and the absorption and/or reflection of the microwave radiation is measured by means such as digitization and analysis using the FFT spectrum versus energy response generated, the response subsequently used to calculate the gas concentration.

  • Publication number: 20210333222
Abstract: A rapid virus and pathogen detector using RF and Dielectric Spectroscopy. The targeted virus or pathogen is identified by active illumination by RF energy and analysis of the response RF signal.

  • Patent number: 11154211
Abstract: A method and system to assess data from a dielectric probe to determine the health of tissue by denoising the data and clustering the data points. The assessment is used to assist medical professionals in the care patients.

  • Patent number: 11105868
Abstract: A device to extract digital and unintended analog signals from a data bus with a non-contact common mode probe and a differential mode probe, each with a low noise amplifier. The analog and digital signals can be monitored contemporaneously.
