  • Publication number: 20160222301
Abstract: A method is described for preparing a catalyst precursor suitable for use in the Fischer-Tropsch synthesis of hydrocarbons including 10 to 40% by weight of cobalt oxide crystallites and 0.05 to 0.5% by weight of a precious metal promoter, dispersed over the surface of a porous transition alumina wherein the surface of the transition alumina has been modified by inclusion of 0.25 to 3.5% wt magnesium, including the steps of: (a) forming a modified catalyst support by impregnating a transition alumina with a magnesium compound, drying and calcining the impregnated alumina in a first calcination at a temperature 600° C. to convert the magnesium compound into oxidic form, and (b) forming a catalyst precursor by impregnating the modified catalyst support with a cobalt compound and precious metal promoter compound, drying and calcining the impregnated catalyst support in a second calcination to convert the cobalt compound to cobalt oxide.

  • Patent number: 7765094
Abstract: Performance profiling of software by producing a performance profile of a software processing unit and performing statistical analysis on the performance profile by matching the performance profile with at least one additional performance profile. An algorithmic approach is used to match data related to processes and/or threads and/or similar processing units (PU) over multiple performance profiles. One purpose of the matching algorithm is to identify such PU in order to enable computation of an accumulated or averaged dataset over multiple profiling periods. Various matching strategies, filters, and preprocessing techniques are described, together with level of reliability estimation.

  • Publication number: 20080029746
Abstract: The invention relates to an improved design of wire tensioner for use in electric wire fences. As well as attaching a wire to a fence post, and tensioning the wire, the device also insulates the wire from the metal post. The device comprises an insulating means or body which has an engagement face for engaging with internal surface of a fence post and a spring for applying a tensioning force to the wire. Any changes in the length of the wire due to ambient temperature variation can be absorbed by the spring, thus minimising maintenance adjustments of the wire tension. The spring may also be used to press the engagement face against the surface of the fence post, and therefore hold the device in position. The present invention also provides for installing the (wire tensioner) devices inside a fence post (which is fitted with a cover) and which contains the high voltage (HV) and earth wire connections.
