Publication number: 20050144265Abstract: A digital data collection system is disclosed that provides the ability to configure, re-configure and append software and functionality to remote computer installations regardless of the location or Windows™ operating system of the remote computer installation. The data collection system creates two or more objects in a computer system at a location having a processor and memory. The system collects data from the computer or another computer at the location and transmits data to a computer at a remote location. The system has a central core system comprising a central core system object and a form object and a configuration file. The form object creates the central core system object in the computer memory, which reads the configuration file to execute and delegate commands within the configuration file including the creation of data control objects.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 16, 2003Publication date: June 30, 2005Inventors: James Roe-Smith, Craig Stallan

Patent number: 6024085Abstract: The present invention encompasses a modular fireplace having a first side wall, a second side wall, and a back wall that is contiguous with the first side wall and the second side wall and defines an interior open-faced firebox region having a substantially "U" shape in top plan view. The first side wall is constructed from a plurality of sequentially stacked modular first side blocks and the second side wall is formed from a plurality of sequentially stacked modular second side blocks. The back wall has a first modular corner block, a second modular corner block, and at least one substantially vertical spacer block that are joined so that the first corner block and the second corner block are contiguous with the spacer block. To aid in the efficient drafting of the fireplace, each of the spacer blocks may have a spacer block air chamber extending therein from an open upper end on the spacer block top end to a closed lower end proximate the spacer block bottom end.Type: GrantFiled: July 23, 1998Date of Patent: February 15, 2000Inventors: Deborah L. Hodge, James Roe Hodge, Jr.

Patent number: 4873096Abstract: Baked goods comprising a base portion and a filling or upper portion are prepared by applying the filling or upper portion dough to the base portion so that the filling or dough penetrates grooves in the dough of the base portion. The filling or upper portion is baked in place to cause the two portions to adhere and bond together. In an embodiment, a pet egg treat has the general shape of a longitudinal or transverse slice of hard-boiled egg. The yolk portion contains real egg yolk solids, while the outer egg-shaped portion contains flour, egg solids and any type of nutritious meal, including meat meal, fish meal, oat meal, or the like. Flavorings, as well as vitamins, coloring agents, and minerals can be included. The treat is hard and helps to clean pets' teeth and gums, and provides chewing exercise for pets.Type: GrantFiled: August 23, 1988Date of Patent: October 10, 1989Assignee: Nabisco Brands, Inc.Inventors: Albert A. Spiel, James Roe, Henry C. Spanier
