  • Patent number: 10477845
Abstract: A fishing lure includes a jig having a body, a hook, and a blade attached to the body at two attachment points. The hook extends along a longitudinal axis of the body. A fixed wire loop extends from a forward end of the body along the longitudinal axis to directly connect the blade to the body. The blade has an edge near the body, a first attachment hole through the blade near the first edge, a second attachment hole aligned with and spaced near the first attachment hole, and a pair of line attachment holes spaced apart from the second attachment hole. The wire loop is fed directly through both the first and the second attachment holes, and the first edge is outside the wire loop. This arrangement controls the jig body's movement relative to the blade, reducing the likelihood of rollover that could lead to snagging.

  • Patent number: 9253967
Abstract: The snag-resistant fishing lure is designed to minimize the chances of the lure becoming ensnared. The lure has a jig and a blade attached to the blade in a configuration that limits the side-to-side movement of the blade, thereby preventing the jig from rolling to a hook-downward position prone to snagging. A centrally aligned hole is positioned close to the front edge of the blade member. An eyelet extending from the jig body is attached through an aperture in the blade. The blade is limited in its side-to-side movement by contact between the blade edge and either the jig body or the eyelet. The limited side-to-side movement of the blade creates a quick, controlled, oscillating blade action that imparts a natural swimming motion to the lure, emulating prey species movements.

  • Patent number: 9089120
Abstract: A fishing lure line connector is provided with an undivided, single width, unitary elongated member shaped to form first and second eyelets at its respective ends and a circinate hoop, the first and second eyelets axially aligned and residing outboard of the circinate hoop. A method of attaching a fishing lure line connector to a fishing lure having a connection feature is also provided, comprising providing a fishing lure line connector having a hoop and first and second axially aligned line apertures connected to and disposed outboard of the hoop, and moving the connection feature between the first and second line apertures to within the hoop.

  • Patent number: 8919033
Abstract: A snagless bladed fishing lure is provided in which the blade oscillates side-to-side during retrieval and pitches forward to protect the hook from snagging upon encountering an obstacle. The blade includes a line keeper and a hook receiver and carries a weight, the hook receiver being located between the line keeper and the weight.
