  • Patent number: 11686676
Abstract: An in situ near infrared sensing unit includes a housing allowing the sensing unit to be inserted in a variety of media. A transparent window is formed in the sidewall of the housing. A sensing element is mounted inside the housing. The sensing element is configured to emit near infrared light provided from a light source external to the housing, and the sensing element is configured to collect near infrared light transmitted through the transparent window. A mirror is mounted in the housing at an angle with respect to the transparent window and opposite the sensing element. • Publication number: 20220357856
Abstract: This document describes aspects of communicating information about repair elements of a memory device. A memory device can include multiple repair elements that can each replace a defective or damaged memory element, such as a memory row, using a repair operation. By knowing a quantity of remaining available repair elements, a user of a memory device can make informed decisions about whether to make a replacement. In operation, a host device can send a command to the memory device requesting repair element information. Logic of the memory device can determine a quantity of repair elements that are available for a repair operation. In some cases, the logic may store this quantity in a register of the memory device. The memory device can signal the quantity of repair elements to the host device in response to the command.

  • Publication number: 20220317107
Abstract: Subject soils are classified using a sensing tool. By profiling each of a number of first locations that have a ground truth classification, using a deployed sensing tool, digital soil properties of new locations without ground truth classifications can obtained to determine corresponding classifications for the new locations. This allows information related classifications to be utilized for optimal used of the new locations.

  • Patent number: 10021837
Abstract: Horticultural lighting may be provided by radio-controlled luminaires with integrated sensors. A distance from a bottom of the luminaire to a plant canopy is determined via the ultrasonic sensor at a predetermined interval. Upon determining that the distance from the bottom of the luminaire to the plant canopy is not at a predetermined distance, the distance is adjusted to the predetermined distance. The light spectrum over time on the plant is adjusted by varying a wavelength of the luminaire over a predetermined time period based on wireless instructions received from a master controller.

  • Patent number: 9939132
Abstract: Shielding radio frequency interference (RFI) using reflector optics is disclosed. A simplified non-sealed reflector is used in conjunction with a mounting system, resulting in desired amounts of visible and non-visible light using radio frequency driven luminaries and emitters without sacrificing output or coverage area. Configurations are disclosed such that achieved RF grounding is compliant with FCC regulations. Accordingly, the disclosed RFI shielding improves optical design options, increased output, and decreased manufacturing costs over traditional sealed enclosures.

  • Publication number: 20170332544
Abstract: Data driven indoor farming optimization may provide autonomous decision making that maximizes crop yield. One or more specifications and one or more constraints on resources for a crop being monitored may be received at computing devices. The computing devices may generate a simulation using a machine learning algorithm to determine whether the one or more specifications and the one or more constraints result in a grow solution for the crop. The simulation may be constrained by historical data on one or more variables that affect crop production. The computing devices may receive a modification to a constraint in the event that the simulation failed to generate a grow solution for the crop. On the other hand, if the simulation generates a grow solution for the crop, the simulation may be run to predict growth of the crop at specific time intervals of a grow cycle for the crop.

  • Patent number: 9576786
Abstract: The user of plasma light technology and remote lighting control techniques may enable a single master controller to control a large number of lighting fixtures. Multiple lighting fixtures may be equipped with control applications. Each control application may control the radio frequency driver of a lighting fixture that drives the plasma bulbs of the lighting fixture to produce light output for growing plants. The master controlled may execute on one or more computing devices. The master controller may send input instructions to the control applications of the lighting fixtures via a network. The instructions may be implemented by the control applications to command the radio frequency drivers to regulate a spectral distribution and/or intensity of the light output of the lighting fixtures.

  • Patent number: 9532411
Abstract: More efficient full spectrum lighting technology provides new lighting possibilities. A system that implements full spectrum lighting technology includes a lighting fixture that includes one or more light sources, in which the lighting fixture spectrally varies a light output of the one or more light sources in response to an electronic output signal. The system further includes a light sensor that monitors an output light spectrum provided by the one or more light sources. The system also includes an application controller that determines whether the output light spectrum from the one or more light sources follows a program. The application controller generates an electronic output signal to spectrally vary the light output of the one or more light sources in order to follow the program.
