Patent number: 11960624Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer program products are configured to apply k-anonymity to an answer to a query sent to a relational database. A query to the relational database is obtained, the relational database containing a plurality of records. A frequency of occurrence of the attributes in the relational database is determined, an anonymization rule set is created based on the frequency of occurrence of the attributes, the anonymization rule set defining which attributes are to be suppressed in the answer to the query, the anonymization rule set is used to generate the answer to the query, wherein the answer to the query has k-anonymity, and a display or other device is controlled based on the answer to the query.Type: GrantFiled: February 19, 2021Date of Patent: April 16, 2024Assignee: IMMUTA, INC.Inventors: John Reilly Murray, Joseph James Regensburger, Alfred Vincent Rossi, Mason Sharp

Patent number: 11932014Abstract: A print component includes an array of fluidic actuation structures including a first column of fluidic actuating structures addressable by a set of actuation addresses, each fluidic actuating structure having a different one of the actuation addresses and having a fluidic architecture type, and a second column of fluidic actuating structures addressable by the set of actuation addresses. Each fluidic actuating structure of the second column has a different one of the actuation addresses and has a same fluidic architecture type as the fluidic actuating structure of the first column having the same address. An address bus communicates the set of addresses to the array of fluidic actuating structures, and a fire signal line communicates a plurality of fire pulse signal types to the array of fluidic actuating structures, the fire pulse signal type depending on the actuation address on the address bus.Type: GrantFiled: April 25, 2023Date of Patent: March 19, 2024Assignee: Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P.Inventors: Scott A. Patent number: 10130955Abstract: Devices are provided comprising one or more insulated hollow vertical pipes inserted into a bed of soil, each pipe having a descending and an ascending conductive element forming a loop within the interior of the pipe. A plurality of such vertical pipes can be attached to a straight pipe, forming a two dimensional array of vertical pipes, in which the loops are connected in series. Further, a series of such one-dimensional straight pipes can be attached together to provide a two-dimensional array. When vertical pipes are inserted into the bed of soil and an electrical current applied to the array, one or more magnetic fields is produced within the bed and parallel to the surface of the bed. The magnetic fields so produced impede downward flow of ionic fertilizers into the ground water, and retaining the fertilizer near growing plants when the bed is irrigated.Type: GrantFiled: July 13, 2017Date of Patent: November 20, 2018Inventor: Timothy James Rossi

Patent number: 8807144Abstract: Smoking articles having reduced ignition proclivity characteristics are disclosed. The smoking articles include a wrapper comprising cellulosic fibers and a filler. In accordance with the present disclosure, the filler has a particle size of at least about 3.2 microns and is present in the wrapper in an amount less than about 20% by weight. Further, the wrapper may have a basis weight of less than about 23 gsm and a permeability of from about 15 Coresta to about 110 Coresta. It has been discovered that such wrappers are capable of reducing the ignition proclivity characteristics of a smoking article. If desired, the particular wrapper as described above can also contain discrete areas treated with an ignition reducing composition which further serves to reduce the ignition proclivity characteristics of the article.Type: GrantFiled: February 21, 2008Date of Patent: August 19, 2014Assignee: Schweitzer-Mauduit International, Inc.Inventors: Vladimir Hampl, Jr., Alice Gu, James Rossi-Espagnet

Patent number: 7476147Abstract: Shirred casing is packaged in pockets on a belt to assist in the stuffing of the shirred casing by an automated stuffing machine. The package is made up of a belt with pockets for the shirred casings. The pockets provide structural integrity to the shirred casings and are spaced evenly for automated handling. The automated stuffing machine has a strand drum with indentations to receive the pocket of the package. The strand drum acts as an indexing mechanism to position each successive pocket so that the shirred casings within may be stuffed. A stuffing horn moves between a stuffing position and an indexing position that is clear of the strand drum. A method for automating the stuffing of shirred casings is disclosed as well.Type: GrantFiled: May 3, 2004Date of Patent: January 13, 2009Assignee: ViskoTeepak Belgium NVInventor: Scott James Rossi
