    Abstract: Disclosed herein are CRISPR-associated transposons (CASTs), which co-opt Cas genes for RNA-guided transposition. Disclosed herein are new families of CASTs, including a non-Tn7 CAST. These CASTs are useful in a variety of gene editing applications, so also disclosed herein are methods of using the CASTs.
