Patent number: 11607078Abstract: A temperature display and/or control system is disclosed for a cooing apparatus, such as a grill, comprising a plurality of individual zones to provide individual zone temperatures. Each zone of the grill is associated with a temperature sensor, such as a thermocouple, and a visual indicator to indicate the zone temperature, such as control knob bearing a multi-color LED. A controller obtains a signal from the temperature sensor indicating a raw temperature and converts the raw temperature to an actual zone temperature based on a temperature profile selected for the zone. The temperature profile is configurable for each zone based on a configuration of the zone in order to maintain an accurate temperature conversion despite alterations to an environment.Type: GrantFiled: February 11, 2019Date of Patent: March 21, 2023Assignee: Channel Products, Inc.Inventors: James S. Becker, Russell K. Myers

Patent number: 11428415Abstract: One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for an ignition control module for a gas appliance. The housing of the ignition control module, and/or the mounting points for mounting the module to a gas appliance, can be configured to dispose the battery in a manner that provides for potential battery leakage to flow away from most operable components of the module. Further, the ignitor connection terminals can be configured to provide for ease of connection, by providing a connector guide disposed in a cylindrically shaped terminal housing. Additionally, an ignitor actuator terminal can be configured to selectable engage with an ignitor actuator connector, where the ignitor actuator terminal comprises at least two connector points that engage with a single ignitor actuator connector.Type: GrantFiled: October 29, 2019Date of Patent: August 30, 2022Assignee: Channel Products, Inc.Inventors: James S. Becker, Florin N. Lazar

Patent number: 10584875Abstract: One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for controlling and managing one or more flame-producing devices, such as fire features, heating devices and/or cooking devices. Control of respective devices may be provided by a first communication component and a first controller component disposed locally on respective devices, in combination with one or more wireless remote control devices. Respective flame-producing devices may be communicatively coupled with a remote control device, allowing for commands to be sent wirelessly to the flame-producing device, and status information to be sent to the remote control device.Type: GrantFiled: August 31, 2017Date of Patent: March 10, 2020Assignee: Channel Products, Inc.Inventors: James S. Becker, Daniel J. Szubra, Russell K. Myers
