Patent number: 11930267Abstract: An electronic device may be provided with control circuitry, wireless transceiver circuitry, and a display. The electronic device may be used to provide information to a user in response to being pointed at a particular object. The control circuitry may determine when the electronic device is pointed at a particular object using wireless control circuitry and/or motion sensor circuitry. In response to determining that the electronic device is pointed at a particular object, the control circuitry may take suitable action. This may include, for example, displaying information about an object when the electronic device is pointed at the object, displaying control icons for electronic equipment when the electronic device is pointed at the electronic equipment, and/or displaying a virtual object when the electronic device is pointed at real world object.Type: GrantFiled: June 18, 2021Date of Patent: March 12, 2024Assignee: Apple Inc.Inventors: Adam S. Patent number: 10646568Abstract: Disclosed are methods and compositions for targeting antibodies to amyloid deposits. For example, amyloid-reactive peptides that bind amyloid deposits are administered to a subject. Antibodies to the amyloid-reactive peptides are then administered to the subject. Upon administration of the antibodies, the amyloid-reactive peptides bind the antibodies and thus pre-target the antibodies to the amyloid deposits. In other examples, an amyloid-reactive fusion peptide contains an epitope of a known antibody. When the fusion peptide is administered to a subject, the fusion peptide binds amyloids in the subject. Administration to the subject of the known antibody that binds the epitope of the fusion peptide then targets the antibody to the amyloid deposit to which the fusion peptide is bound.Type: GrantFiled: July 16, 2018Date of Patent: May 12, 2020Assignee: UNIVERSITY OF TENESSEE RESEARCH FOUNDATIONInventors: Jonathan S Wall, Stephen J Kennel, James S Foster

Publication number: 20090239255Abstract: Odontogenic ameloblast-associated (ODAM) protein may be used as an effective biomarker in humans for various cancers, especially those of epithelial origin, such as breast, lung, and stomach. The ODAM protein may be detected in cancerous cells. Additionally, the blood of patients with such cancers contains high titers of anti-ODAM antibodies.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 19, 2009Publication date: September 24, 2009Inventors: Daniel P. Patent number: 5503091Abstract: A light-weight turf conditioning machine provides programmable subterranean soil processing. The machine includes a set of electronically controlled air guns that are mounted on a frame a given distance above the ground. Each air gun disperses a high pressure stream of fluid into the ground in a vertically aligned cylindrical shape drilling holes into a golf green. The holes are drilled using a hydrated polymer that absorbs and releases moisture in a controlled fashion fostering plant growth. A programmable controls circuit controls the rate, pattern and depth in which holes are drilled into a golf green. A portable storage tank is fluidly joined by a hose to the air guns. The hose allows the storage tank to spaced from the machine as the air guns are carried over the golf green.Type: GrantFiled: January 25, 1994Date of Patent: April 2, 1996Inventors: James S.
