  • Publication number: 20240016700
Abstract: Induction seal liners for containers include active polymer compositions that function as active agents within the container during storage of products and which may be easily removed and discarded after opening the container. The active agents can include antioxidant or oxygen scavenging materials, anti-melanosic agents, desiccants, antimicrobial agents, odor reducing agents, and others. The induction seal liners herein extend the shelf life of products while affixed to the opening of a container. An induction seal for a container, the induction seal comprising: a mounting sheet; and an induction seal liner attached to a headspace-facing surface of the mounting sheet, the induction seal liner comprising an active polymer component including a multiphase polymer composition, wherein a mounting portion is located or exposed between an outer edge of the induction seal liner and an outer edge of the mounting sheet.

  • Publication number: 20230014429
Abstract: Apparatuses and methods are provided for storing and preserving product, such as to extend shelf life of the same. In one optional method, liquid-exuding product is placed in a product containing space of a container atop a platform of a support structure. The container can include an internal compartment having the product containing space. The structure can define the platform for supporting the product. The internal compartment can further include a reservoir, configured to retain liquid, below the platform. At least one of the platform or the support structure can be configured to direct liquid exuded from the product to the reservoir. Optionally, the reservoir comprises or contains an absorbent material for absorbing liquid in the reservoir.

  • Publication number: 20200391420
Abstract: Containers and methods for making and using the same are disclosed. The containers include internal fluoropolymer surfaces, optionally comprising fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP), within the storage compartments. Such fluoropolymer surfaces may be incorporated into the containers via in-mold labeling, for example. Optionally, the containers are useful for storing cannabis extracts that are typically sticky. Low surface energy of the robust fluoropolymer surfaces in such containers help to prevent adherence of the sticky products to the container surfaces.
