In one embodiment, the vertical extension has secondary hand grips that can assist a user in standing more erect after being in a hunched-over position while using the walker. For example, the plurality of secondary hand grips can be arranged along the vertical extension to allow a user to climb the plurality of secondary hand grips to progressively stand more erect.
