  • Patent number: 9876681
Abstract: A resource management solution for use in a data-processing infrastructure comprising a server data-processing entity and a set of target data-processing entitiesthat is operable for downloading a set of corresponding management policies, executing a verification action indicated in each one of the corresponding management policies for verifying a compliance of the target data-processing entity with the management policy, executing a target-side remediation action indicated in each violated one of the corresponding target-side management policies which the target data-processing entity is not compliant with, for remedying the non-compliance of the target data-processing entity with the violated target-side management policy, sending an indication of a remediation request for each violated one of the corresponding server-side management policies, which each target data-processing entity is not compliant with, and executing by the server data-processing entity, a corresponding server-side remediation action in

  • Patent number: 8122502
Abstract: The presence of an installation on a data processing system may be detected by providing a signature that includes m files having paths associated therewith, respectively. A number n files on the data processing system are determined that match files in the signature and a files found ratio given by n/m is determined. A transformation is applied to the signature by replacing at least a portion of at least one of the paths with a new path. Then, a distance is determined between the n files on the data processing system and the m signature files. The distance corresponds to a sum of a number of path segments associated with the m signature files that cannot be matched to a corresponding path segment associated with files on the data processing system. The presence of the installation on the data processing system is determined based on the files found ratio and the distance.

  • Patent number: 6478423
Abstract: The invention is a method of making a coated contact lens with desirable physiological performance. Preferably, the lenses are made from hydrophobic contact lens substrate with a hydrophilic coating material. The hydrophobic lens substrate is coated with a hydrophilic material having an expansion factor greater than one. The coated lenses have low physical defect and surface roughness profiles.
