  • Patent number: 5868292
Abstract: A frame carrier including a soft body portion and a frame formed of a resin material. The soft body portion includes a front portion, a back portion, side portions and a seat portion connected to the back portion. The seat portion includes a forward end with an adjustment strap attached to the frame wherein the adjustment of the length of the adjustment strap may be used to adjust the height of the seat portion. A pivoted leg stand is provided including a pivot connection which defines two predetermined positions for the leg stand. The pivot connection includes cooperating cam and detent members wherein the two positions for the leg stand are defined by movement of the cam relative to the detent. The carrier further includes an adjustable waist belt including a pair of clips engaged in vertically extending slots in the frame. A plurality of mounting points for the clips are defined along the slots to thereby define different height positions for the waist belt.

  • Patent number: 5643035
Abstract: A device for producing bubbles is disclosed including a housing having an entry port and an exit port, where a chamber is defined therein in flow communication with the entry and exit ports. A drive shaft is located within the housing chamber with a turbine wheel mounted to the drive shaft in a rotatable manner. The turbine wheel includes a plurality of pin members extending therefrom and a crank arm is provided for rotating the turbine wheel. Accordingly, water and bubble solution entering the housing chamber through the entry port is mixed with air to produce bubbles in the housing chamber which are encouraged to flow through the exit port. The entry port is oriented substantially perpendicular to the rotation of the turbine wheel and the exit port is oriented substantially in line with the rotation of the turbine wheel.

  • Patent number: 4887724
Abstract: A tiered desktop tray assembly including a lower tray and an upper tray utilizes a pair of spacer brackets operatively connected between the trays for supporting the upper tray and the lower tray. The spacer brackets are maintained in a stressed condition while interconnected between the upper and lower trays so that the interconnected relationship of the brackets and trays is enhanced by the stress under which the spacer brackets is maintained.

  • Patent number: 4576582
Abstract: A toy bubble-blowing lawn mower is disclosed having a wheel driven impeller coupled to a propeller for generating a stream of air. The impeller is also intermittently coupled to a bubble disk in either direction of rotation of the impeller for successively moving apertures in the disk covered by a bubble-forming liquid film into alignment with the stream of air.

  • Patent number: 4381620
Abstract: A toy having a spherical hollow ball rotatably supported on a stand by two stub shafts molded on the ball. An action element mounted on a spindle is located within the ball for limited movement by two parallel apertured baffle plates. The spindle has a length slightly less than the diameter of the ball. Each end of the spindle is beveled and is in contact with the interior surface of the ball whereby as the ball is rotated the spindle and the action element is caused to rotate within the confines of the apertures of the baffle plates. The stand is supported by a resilient neck and a suction cup base.

  • Patent number: 4132389
Abstract: A self-locking windlass for preventing unwinding of the windlass under load when the force turning the windlass is released. The windlass comprises an eccentric spindle coupled to a shaft and rotatable therewith. A cable has one end secured to the spindle and its opposite end securable to the load. Upon rotation of the shaft and spindle, the cable is wound on the spindle pulling the load toward the windlass. Due to the eccentric spindle, a self-locking position of the windlass is attained during each revolution of the shaft and spindle. In this locking position, the load is incapable of unwinding the cable when the force rotating the shaft and spindle is released. This locking position is attained when the spindle is substantially between the shaft and load and the load force is directed toward the load along a line that is substantially tangent to the spindle and passes through the shaft.
