Publication number: 20240110487Abstract: A gas turbine engine includes a turbine section that has a retainer ring, a first vane that bears against the retainer ring to prevent movement of the first vane in a first axial direction, a second vane axially spaced from the first vane, and a blade axially between the first vane and the second vane. A blade outer air seal is situated radially outwardly of the blade. The blade outer air seal includes a ceramic matrix composite body that defines a core gaspath side that faces the blade, a forward end, an aft end, and circumferential sides. There is a spring seal at the aft end of the blade outer air seal that seals against the second vane. The spring seal provides a preload that biases the blade outer air seal against the first vane and thereby biases the first vane against the retainer ring.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 29, 2023Publication date: April 4, 2024Inventors: Daniel S. Publication number: 20180144407Abstract: According to some embodiments, a data store may contain electronic data records each representing an event associated with an existing risk association between an enterprise and an entity. Each electronic data record may be associated with a record identifier and a set of record characteristic values. Moreover, at least some of the electronic data records may be linked to supplemental electronic note data messages. A back-end application computer server, coupled to the data store, may automatically queue new supplemental electronic note data messages in accordance with at least one trigger rule. The computer server may also automatically transmit batches of information about the queued new supplemental electronic note data messages in near real-time. According to some embodiments, information may be exchanged with a plurality of remote management system terminals, via a distributed communication network, to support an interactive user interface display including the supplemental electronic note data messages.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 18, 2016Publication date: May 24, 2018Inventors: Jaclyn E. Publication number: 20150356475Abstract: Embodiments provide a method for giving feedback for insurance workflow optimization. The method may include an easy to understand indication, e.g., a visual such as a light bulb that changes hue, which is representative of a metric regarding how workflows are being managed. In an example embodiment, insurance agent data submissions may be processed to categorize each of the plurality of insurance agent data submissions, e.g., as preferred workflow type and non-preferred workflow type. On this basis, a metric may be determined to reflect a proportion of preferred workflow type and non-preferred workflow type in the insurance agent data submissions received. This metric may in turn be formed into an instruction that reflects the metric, with the instruction being communicated to a device at an insurance agency, e.g., a device including a light bulb of changing hue that provides an indication of the metric. Other aspects are described and claimed.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 4, 2014Publication date: December 10, 2015Applicant: Hartford Fire Insurance CompanyInventors: James S. Rogers, Samantha A. DeRosa

Publication number: 20140156313Abstract: A display device may display to a user questions related to insurance products. The user may be a business owner, and the questions may solicit information that may be used to determine which of the insurance products are applicable to the user's business. Input data may be received from a user that is responsive to the questions. The input data may indicate, for example, the type of industry of the business and the location of the business. Next, the display device may present the user with a set of pictures that are related to the user's business industry. Input data may be received from the user, selecting a subset of the pictures. Based on the input data, a business classification may be determined. The business classification along with underwriting information may be used to determine a business insurance product and options that are applicable to the business.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 3, 2012Publication date: June 5, 2014Applicant: HARTFORD FIRE INSURANCE COMPANYInventors: James S.
