  • Patent number: 5788014
Abstract: A spring motor mechanism for use with a child's swing that includes a spring attached to a slip clutch device to prevent the spring from becoming over wound. In addition, the spring motor mechanism includes an indicator for revealing, based upon the amount of torque stored in the spring, the remaining number of child seat oscillations that can occur before the spring must be re-wound, and an adjustable swing height portion to prevent the over-swinging of the child seat.

  • Patent number: 5687985
Abstract: The present invention relates to a stroller, in particularly a tandem seat stroller, and a unique canopy mechanism and a unique reclining mechanism for use in the stroller according to the present invention. The stroller comprises a main frame having a first seat support for supporting a first seat and a first reclinable backrest frame for supporting a first backrest. A first reclining mechanism is connected to the backrest frame and the main frame for selectively pivotally moving the backrest relative to the main frame, which includes at least one pivot mechanism. A first canopy mechanism is also connected to the main frame which includes a first tensioning mechanism, a first canopy frame connected to one end of a canopy and a second canopy frame connected to the other end of the canopy.

  • Patent number: 5628689
Abstract: A leg support structure for a foldable child swing that can be maintained in either an open position or a folded position and that is comprised of a housing, a plurality of support legs, and a leg brace for anchoring the legs and securing the legs within the housing in either an open or a folded position. In particular, the leg support structure is able to secure the legs in either the open position wherein the end of the legs are spread apart relative to each other and projected away from the housing or in the folded position wherein the legs are parallel to each other and the end of the legs are proximate and collapsed inwardly toward the housing.

  • Patent number: 5605409
Abstract: A collapsable stroller for transporting a passenger includes a frame movable between a collapsed position and an operating position. The frame includes rotatably mounted wheels for providing the stroller with mobility. A passenger seat is provided for receiving the passenger. At least a portion of the passenger seat is movably mounted on the frame between a first position and a second position. A latch is mounted on the frame and the seat. The latch releasably holds the seat in the first position. The latch, seat and frame are configured such that when the seat is in the first position and the frame is moved from the operating position to the collapsed position, the latch automatically releases the seat and the seat moves to the second position.

  • Patent number: 4546766
Abstract: A device for applying a controlled amount of traction to a human body. The device includes an arm one end of which is connected by a harness to a patient for applying traction periodically as the patient pivots the arm and the other end of which is connected by a ratchet assembly to a drag wheel rotatably mounted in a frame. The magnitude of the traction applied is determined by the amount of friction applied to the wheel by a pair of opposed brake pads engaging opposite sides of the wheel. A manual adjusting mechanism is provided for one of the brake pads to set a desired level of traction to be applied by the arm, and a calibrating mechanism is connected to the other brake pad for automatically adjusting the same during operation of the manual adjusting mechanism.
