Abstract: Systems and methods for facilitating real-time integration of use of promotional offers such as coupons, coupon codes, gift cards, and the like into a customer relationship management system and/or process. Users such as brands, companies, retailers, etc. issue and send promotional offers to a consumer as a part of a customer relationship management process, and systems for implementing such methods are provided; computer systems may be managed by a single entity or in distributed computing environments wherein aspects of methods are implemented by disparate parties. In a customer relationship management process, such as using software for customer relationship management, the user can directly issue individualized promotions via a direct communication. The individualized promotions are limited to a one-time use and are serialized in a way that facilitates tracking of redemption of the promotions. Offers are traced in real time and are readily directed to individual desired consumers.

Abstract: Systems and methods for issuance of individualized promotional offers that can only be redeemed for purchase of specified items are disclosed. The promotional offers are only valid when they are used to purchase certain items. If an attempt to use the promotional offer is made and an authorized product is not part of the purchase transaction, the promotional offer will not be useable. Instead, the operator of the point-of-sale device that receives the promotional offer will not be able to validate the promotional offer. The validation of the promotional offer (when a correct item is part of the purchase) or lack thereof (when a correct item is not part of the purchase) occurs entirely at the point of sale, without requiring a point-of-sale device to communicate externally with any systems or devices to receive instructions relating to which products are authorized for use with the promotional offers.

Such methods permit restriction of bank cards and bank card balances to purchase of specific items and specific merchants. Collaborative systems are used to implement such methods, such as computer systems and networked computer system. Methods for facilitating item-specific application of a card balance may be performed using computer systems managed by a single entity as well as in distributed computing environments wherein aspects of the methods are implemented by disparate parties. Unique bank card number are associated with a promotional offer as well as item-specific information relating to authorized uses of the offer. When an offer is attempted to be redeemed, a secondary item-specific authorization check is performed in addition to a check of the validity of the overall promotional offer.

Abstract: Systems and methods for managing the promotional offer industry offer, redemption, and settlement processes in ways that facilitate improvements in the reconciliation and settlement process, thereby facilitating rapid and accurate settlement. A method for facilitating rapid and accurate settlement includes steps of associating a unique bank card number with a promotional offer, transmitting the bank card number to a consumer computing device over an electronic communications network as a received promotional offer, whereby a consumer operating the consumer computing device is enabled to use the bank card number at a point of sale to redeem the received promotional offer, receiving an indication that the bank card number was used at the point of sale to redeem the received promotional offer, and allocating payment for redemption of the received promotional offer within one week of receipt of the indication that the bank card number was used at the point of sale.
