  • Publication number: 20240135558
Abstract: Z maps combined with a standardized stimulus in the form of a targeted arterial partial pressures of carbon dioxide provide suprisingly enhanced images for the assessment of pathological CVR. For example, the z-map assessment of patients with known steno-occlusive diseases of the cervico-cerebral vasculature showed an enhanced resolution of the presence, localization, and severity of the pathological CVR. Z-map have been found to be useful to reduce the confounding effects of test-to-test, subject-to-subject, and platform-to-platform variability for comparison of CVR images showing the importance of combining this analysis with the standardized stimulus.

  • Publication number: 20240033965
Abstract: In one embodiment, there is provided a tree feeding system for use with tree handling equipment, the tree feeding system including: a housing having a frame and at least one arm; a plurality of tree feeding wheels arranged with at least one wheel on the frame and at least one wheel on the at least one arm; and a hydraulic circuit for driving the tree feeding wheels, wherein the hydraulic circuit is configured such that wheels on the frame are driven in series and wheels on the arm are driven in series. In another embodiment, the hydraulic circuit is configured such that wheels on one side (e.g. left hand side) of the housing are driven in series and wheels on an opposite side (e.g. right hand side) of the housing are driven in series but wheels on the frame are mechanically connected by a universal joint.

  • Patent number: 7955196
Abstract: Apparatus and method for teaching a batter to swing a bat in a premeditated plane to and through an invisible target that simulates the point of contact where a round bat will meet and greet a round ball squarely. A batter's training tool that facilitates a batter to swing a bat with finesse, confidence, accuracy, speed and strength. Through repeated practice, the batter becomes physically and psychologically habituated to maintain the correct swing form for improved contact.

  • Publication number: 20070082794
Abstract: A first horizontal member having a proximate end and a distal end, the distal end is adapted to be attached to a second substantially rigid member. An object assembly including an object located below the proximate end of the first horizontal member. A first line having a first segment extending substantially along a vertical axis defined through a center of the object assembly and coupled to the proximate end of the first horizontal member. The first line having a second segment extending substantially along the vertical axis below the object assembly and is coupled to a third substantially rigid member. The first line having a first end coupled to a top side of the object assembly and a second end coupled to a bottom side of the object assembly. A second line extends substantially perpendicular to the first line in a longitudinal direction substantially along a path of the object defining a horizontal axis.

  • Patent number: 6305180
Abstract: A system for cooling electronic equipment, especially modular electronic units mounted in racks, each having a casing with an air inlet, an air outlet and a fan for cooling the contents of the unit. The system uses a chiller unit, between adjacent racks for returning cooled air to ambient, each of which can be a piping array connected to a supply of chilled water. A baffle backing the piping array improves heat exchange and provides a more uniform transfer of heat to each array, thereby enabling optimum temperature differences to be achieved across each rack. A slidable framework supports the piping array and defines an air space on the cooled air side of the array. An auxiliary piping array extends rearwardly of racks so as to communicate with rear air spaces behind the racks and thereby cool heated air flowing in the rear air spaces.
