  • Patent number: 11942765
Abstract: An underarm gang operated vacuum break switch (underarm switch) has an electrically live portion under a mounting arm, which provides advantages over the standard vacuum break switch, which have the electrically live portion above the mounting arm. Because the non-electrified mounting arm is above the electrified portion, the underarm switch is safer for perching birds and other wildlife. The nature of the underarm switch also provides other benefits including a disconnect blade that when opened creates a visual gap to ensure electrical discontinuity along with a safety locking arm tied to deactivating the underarm switch. Adding to the safety measures is a visual indicator that shows an electrician when the switch is live and safe to open the disconnect blade. Other safety measures include a shock absorber assembly and inertia slowing mass protecting electrical contacts within the vacuum break switch from failing.

  • Publication number: 20230149047
Abstract: Various methods and apparatus for dynamic stabilization of bones, and especially of vertebra. Disclosed herein are bushings that permit axial movement of a rod, tether, or similar interconnection device relative to an anchoring head that is coupled to a bone. Some bushings further allow lateral relative movement or rotational relative movement, such additional relative movement being limited by the size and shape of the bushing, the size and shape of the interconnection device, the size and shape of the bushing container, the manner of attaching the anchoring head to the bone, or other considerations.

  • Publication number: 20220300804
Abstract: Implementations are directed to receiving a set of tuples, each tuple including an entity and a product from a set of products, for each tuple: generating, by an embedding module, a total latent vector as input to a recommender network, the total latent vector generated based on a structural vector, a textual vector, and a categorical vector, each generated based on a product profile of a respective product and an entity profile of the entity, generating, by a context integration module, a latent context vector based on a context vector representative of a context of the entity, and inputting the total latent vector and the latent context vector to the recommender network, the recommender network being trained by few-shot learning using a multi-task loss function, and generating, by the recommender network, a prediction including a set of recommendations specific to the entity.

  • Publication number: 20210095681
Abstract: There is provided a method of controlling a direction of an airflow emitted from a fan assembly, the fan assembly being capable of changing the direction of the airflow emitted therefrom to any direction within a range of adjustment of the fan assembly. The method comprises receiving user inputs that select an angle of oscillation and that determine a central emission direction for the airflow emitted from the fan assembly, and controlling the emission direction of the fan assembly such that the emitted airflow oscillates through the selected angle of oscillation with the oscillation of the emitted airflow being centered at the central emission direction.

  • Patent number: 10535045
Abstract: A system and method for performing customized money transfer send transactions uses a computer system connectable to receive data representing a send transaction identifier of at least one token. The computer system presents to the sender a completion interface that includes fields for receiving sender identification information, recipient identification information and a notification method, and message options related to the transaction. In response to receipt of sufficient information entered at the completion interface, an active, funded send transaction record is stored in the computer system including the message options for recipient notification.

  • Publication number: 20190364962
Abstract: The present invention is a multi-functional hand tool that can be used in safely and securely retrieving and transporting fish, pet, and holding an object such as a cigarette or cigar for smoking without finger contact with the cigarette or cigar. The stretchable net of the present invention offers a user with a hoop and net of which the size can be changed by squeezing a pair of handles connected with a spring coil, thus, the user can retrieve large fish and hold the fish with a small opening by releasing the spring coil. The clip of the present invention has a jaw instead of a hoop and net. The jaw can be used to securely hold the cigarette or cigar by squeezing the handles and the user can use the clip for smoking without the user's fingers contacting the cigarette or cigar.

  • Publication number: 20170300249
Abstract: A storage device may include at least one memory device logically divided into a plurality of blocksets and a controller. The controller may be configured to receive a command to execute a garbage collection operation on a first blockset of the plurality of blocksets. The controller may be further configured to determine, based on a validity table stored in a non-volatile memory, whether data stored at a first block of the first blockset is valid, cause the data from the first block to be written to a second block of a second blockset of the plurality of blocksets, and modify the validity table to indicate that data stored in the first block is invalid and to indicate that data stored in the second block is valid.
