Abstract: In order to improve both spatial resolution and sensitivity for brain research and clinical activity, we have designed a combined PET/MRI insert for brain scanning, referred to herein as a “BrainPET insert” that can be fit onto and into a suitable MRI system. The BrainPET Insert comprises, in order, a receive (Rx) coil positioned within and adjacent to a transmit (Tx) coil and a PET ring, wherein both the Rx coil and the Tx coil are within the PET ring.

Abstract: A system for a heap dump conversion comprises a network storage device comprising a core dump file, a first server coupled to the network storage device, and a second server coupled to the network storage device and to the first server, where the second server receives a notification associated with the core dump file, obtains metadata information from the core dump file in response to receiving the notification, autonomously converts the core dump file into a heap dump file using the metadata information, and stores the heap dump file in the network storage device.

Abstract: An adjustable mouse includes a base and a thumb adjustment assembly coupled to the base. The thumb adjustment assembly is configured to move a thumb rest portion between a retracted position and an extended position. The adjustable mouse further may include a palm rest portion hingedly attached to the base by a hinge adjacent an outer edge of the base. The palm rest portion may have several fingers configured to expand in vertical and lateral directions. Embodiments of the adjustable mouse are further disclosed.

The sidewall has a rim, and the bottom wall has an upper surface with a central area having an entirely smooth contour. The system also includes a drive assembly configured for mounting on the rim to cover the cavity, and the system further includes a working assembly comprising at least one working member configured for operative attachment to the drive assembly such that, when the drive assembly is mounted on the rim, the working member is disposed within the cavity. The system further includes a base attached to the working assembly such that the working member is rotatable relative to the base. The base has a bottom surface that substantially mirrors the contour of the upper surface within the central area so as to be seated substantially flush thereagainst.

Abstract: An automatic method and apparatus for providing services on a computer system. A set of services is established providing different functionality for the computer system. With each of the set of services an attribute is stored for identifying characteristics of the function of each of the set of services. Then, the first set of services can be retrieved by a first set of attributes which is specified irrespective of any locales which may be defined in the computer system. Thus, characteristics or attributes of most importance to a service may be used to describe it and used for retrieval of such services. The establishing of the first set of services includes building a structure which references each of the first set of services. Retrieving may include maintaining a reference to one of the services in the structure and iterating through the structure in order to retrieve a subsequent one of the services.

Abstract: A method and system for forming an in situ subsurface filter in a contaminated aquifer and for removing contaminants from groundwater drawn from a contaminated aquifer. The filter is produced in situ by injecting an aqueous solution comprising bacteria-stimulating chemical components through a well to bioactively generate a subsurface mineral filtering zone surrounding the well. As water is subsequently drawn through the well, contaminants are removed from the water as it passes through the filtering zone.

Abstract: A method of determining the concentration of antibiotic in bone comprising crushing the bone, adding a stabilizing agent to the bone, homogenizing the bone in an extraction solvent to obtain a homogenous suspension, and analyzing the suspension supernatant to determine the concentration of antibiotic in bone.
