  • Patent number: 10669682
Abstract: An ice re-conditioning assembly includes a vehicle that is driven on ice in an ice skating rink. A drive unit is coupled to the vehicle for driving the vehicle around the ice skating rink in a pre-determined route. A plurality of resurfacing units is each movably coupled to the vehicle. Each of the resurfacing units is urged into a deployed position to engage the ice for reconditioning the ice for skating. Each of the resurfacing units is urged into a stored position has each of the resurfacing units being contained within the vehicle and being spaced from the ice. A plurality of displays is provided and each of the displays is coupled to the vehicle. Each of the displays displays indicia comprising words and images for advertising purposes.

  • Patent number: 10518356
Abstract: A method includes applying thermal and/or strain modeling to the CAD representation of an object. In addition, scan path data is generated based at least in part on a result of the thermal and/or strain modeling. A build file comprising the scan path data is generated. The build file comprises instructions that configure an additive manufacturing tool to generate the object according to the scan path data.

  • Publication number: 20070048848
Abstract: The present disclosure concerns methods, apparatus, compositions and systems relating to closed bioreactors for algal culture and harvesting. In certain embodiments, the system may comprise bags with various layers, including a thermal barrier layer, that may be used to contain the algal culture and/or to thermally regulate the temperature of the algal culture. The system may comprise various mechanisms for moving fluid within the system, such as a roller type mechanism, and may provide temperature regulation by compartmentalization of the fluid to regulate absorption of solar radiation and/or conductive or emissive heat loss and gain. Various mechanisms may be used to harvest and process the algae and/or to convert algal oil into biodiesel and other products.

Abstract: The present disclosure concerns an apparatus and system comprising closed bioreactors for aquaculture and harvesting. In certain embodiments, the system may comprise bags with various layers, including a thermal barrier layer, that may be used to contain the aquaculture and/or to thermally regulate the temperature of the aquaculture. The system may comprise various mechanisms for moving fluid within the system, such as a roller type mechanism, and may provide temperature regulation by compartmentalization of the fluid to regulate absorption of solar radiation and/or conductive or emissive heat loss and gain. Various mechanisms may be used to harvest aquatic organisms grown in the apparatus and process them into commercially useful products, such as biodiesel, methane, animal or human food, substrates for polymer synthesis or other chemical products.
