In some embodiments, a dry ingredient dispenser is provided and may include a receptacle configured to contain a select amount of dry ingredient and a cap comprising an actuating portion and a measuring chamber portion. In some embodiments, a liquid ingredient dispenser is provided and may include a receptacle configured to contain a select amount of liquid ingredient and a dispensing portion which may be rotatable to dispense a measured amount of liquid ingredient for the user.

Abstract: A consumer countertop grind-and-brew machine for coffee, or a grinder for nut butter and similar foodstuffs. The grinder burr and container for pre-ground food are connected, so that they can be replaced as an assembly. Thus, different family members that like caffeinated and decaffeinated coffee, or that prefer peanut, almond, and cashew butter can each grind their own preferred foodstuff, and swap out the grinder between to prevent cross-contamination.

Abstract: A device, system and method for dispatching public-safety responder types to a three-dimensional location is provided. A device: receives a call and an associated location including ground coordinates and an altitude; and selects a primary public-safety responder type from a plurality of public-safety responder types associated with corresponding altitude ranges that are at or near the ground coordinates, the primary public-safety responder type associated with a corresponding altitude range that includes the altitude of the associated location of the call. The device one of automatically dispatches the primary public-safety responder type to the ground coordinates and the altitude associated with the call; and provides, to a public-safety answering point associated with the ground coordinates, an electronic suggestion to dispatch the primary public-safety responder type to the ground coordinates and the altitude associated with the call.

Abstract: A method to automatically alter the ECRF route determination for call delivery to a PSAP, and better identify the appropriate responders for incidents where significant elevation or height of the caller's location is involved. A pre-provisioned database for elevation and height consideration is provided either as part of or integrated with the ECRF based on the use of this additional sub-addressing data (building, height, etc.), and cross referenced to a pre-provisioned elevation or height associated with each specific building or floor. The routing of requests for emergency services through the use of either service provider delivered geodetic or civic location is provided. Emergency services routing and responder determination is based on both sub-addressing information in combination with a cross reference database of vertical height identifiers by accessing a pre-populated database of this cross-reference information.

Abstract: An apparatus and system for dispensing a food and beverage product where a flowable product is extracted from a flexible pouch, and where a nozzle region exists through which the flowable product evacuates the flexible pouch. The nozzle region has a lock seal that locks the flowable product within the flexible pouch when a pressure less than a first threshold value is applied to the flexible pouch. There is also a frangible seal located above the nozzle region that is configured to lock the flowable product within the flexible pouch when pressure less than a second threshold value is applied to the flexible pouch and when the first threshold value is larger than the second threshold value.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed implementing a lighted guard system, which changes from one color (e.g. white) when the guard is down (i.e. closed) and/or a machine associated with the guard is operational, to another color (e.g. red) when the guard is up (i.e. open) and/or the machine associated with the guard is not operational. The triggering of the change in state of the guard may be facilitated by a switch that changes state based upon a position of the guard.

Abstract: A policy routing function (“PRF”) allows requests for emergency services (e.g., 9-1-1 calls, text messages to 9-1-1, etc.) dynamically routed to an emergency responder based on rules and/or user defined geographic overrides in support of Next Generation 9-1-1. Each user provided geographic polygon layer within this data set is represented by one or more polygons, with each polygon containing routing criteria, routing rules, priority, and expiration parameters. This geographic data set may also have a base geographic polygon layer of one or more polygons that define the “normal” or “default” routing conditions. Utilizing a user provided geographic data set the PRF interrogates an emergency caller's location against the polygon(s) and applies the routing rules of the highest level geographic polygon layer polygon that has a true routing condition.

Abstract: A beverage blender including a beverage support section and a base section, the beverage support section positioned in spaced-apart relation above the base section by at least one support structure disposed therebetween. The support structure maintains the beverage support section in the spaced-apart relation above the base section while also permitting relative movement between the beverage support section and the base section, the relative movement including a high frequency, low turbulence vibration of the beverage support section such that a beverage container positioned atop the beverage support section is correspondingly vibrated to thoroughly blend its contents. Additionally, a containment portion is disposed on the beverage support section to retain the beverage container thereon.
