The body is sufficiently buoyant to float on the surface of the solvent, even when the apparatus holds at least one of the brushes. A number of holding stations (14) are provided in the body, that extend through the body of the apparatus, wherein each holding station includes a holding mechanism (38) that is suitable to retain one of the brushes in its respective holding station.
