Seeded or coated artificial tendon, ligament, bone or skin panels can be shaped and implanted in mammals. Implantable cell growth cages may be seeded with selected cell types and used to produce desired gene expression products within a mammal. Gene expression products may be harvested from transfected animal cells cultured in a cell growth chamber.
