  • Publication number: 20200155089
Abstract: A device for attaching an x-ray grid holder to a commercial structure such as a pipe so that the modern digital grid can be used in analysis and inspection. The x-ray grid holder attach device is constructed to be attached to a structure and can include a flat grid holder part, the grid holder part having at least one peripheral slot; a structure contact part constructed to be strapped to a structure to be x-rayed, the structure contact part having a key sized to mate with the peripheral slot, the key having a lock constructed to hold the key in the peripheral slot; the structure contact part can a means to attach it to the structure to be x-rayed such as a strap or suction cups.

  • Patent number: 9022396
Abstract: A radiographic grid cabinet for holding x-ray grids and/or cassettes that can have a vertical structure attached to a flat base with wheels that engage when the device is tilted backward like a handcart so that the cabinet can be easily transported from place to place. Wheels can fold out when needed. The device also can have a support plate that can move vertically on a set of rails or other structure attached to the cart. A thumb controlled pin on a clamp or other locking device can select one of a number of holes in the rails to lock the cabinet into a fixed vertical position. The device can also have a rotating bearing that allows the grid holder to be rotated from a horizontal to a vertical position, or through a vertical position from either of two horizontal positions.

  • Patent number: 8177242
Abstract: A radiographic grid cabinet for holding x-ray grids and/or cassettes that can have a vertical structure attached to a flat base with wheels that engage when the device is tilted backward like a handcart so that the cabinet can be easily transported from place to place. In an alternate embodiment, wheels can fold out when needed. The motion can optionally be restricted by the bearing so that the grid holder cannot rotate more than 180 degrees and cannot be turned upside down.

  • Patent number: 7896546
Abstract: A method of installing an x-ray grid into a CR cassette by opening the cassette, modifying parts of it, installing the grid and then re-closing the cassette with the grid inside. The preferred embodiment installs an x-ray grid into a Fuji 14×17 inch CR cassette by modifying parts that will interfere with the grid, removing a layer of protective material and placing the grid where the layer was, and then replacing the protective material by attaching it to the grid with adhesive.

  • Patent number: 6137861
Abstract: A system for cleaning, storing and maintaining x-ray cassettes. The system is used within the environment of an x-ray exposure room for shooting x-ray images of x-ray subjects, and an x-ray dark room for developing x-ray images. The system may include a portable transport, cleaning and storage unit for storing, cleaning and transporting x-ray cassettes. The unit includes a work surface, at least one x-ray cassette receptacle for storing x-ray cassettes, and a vacuum apparatus for vacuuming dust particles from the x-ray cassettes and the unit.
