  • Patent number: 11865644
Abstract: A brush assembly for a device with a motor for cleaning soldering tools may include a base portion, a brush drive ring, and a locking assembly. The base portion may include a cylindrical core member and a cleaning brush. The cleaning brush may be disposed around a perimeter of the core member and may extend radially away from the core member. The locking assembly may include a first locking member, a second locking member, and an annular retention member. The first and second locking members may be configured to interface with one another. The annular retention member may define a resting state for the locking assembly, in which the first and second locking members may grip a shaft of the motor. The annular retention member may also define a transient state for the locking assembly, in which the first and second locking members may move out of the resting state.

  • Patent number: 10006768
Abstract: A laser level including a housing. A laser generator assembly is housed in the housing and generates a laser beam. A projector projects the beam from the laser generator outside of the housing onto a target surface. The laser is a rotary laser and the projector rotates to rotate projection of the beam. The laser level also includes protective arms extending from the housing, the protective arms blocking projection of the beam along part of its path as the projector rotates. A width of the beam is at least twenty percent greater than a width of the leg where the beam contacts the leg.

  • Patent number: 9550302
Abstract: A utility knife includes a handle, a blade holder assembly, a pair of resilient blade wiper members, and a spreader. The blade holder assembly is constructed and arranged to hold a blade at a position of use wherein the blade projects through an opening at a front end of the handle. The pair of resilient blade wiper members are biased towards one another and constructed and arranged to remove debris from side surfaces of the blade, which debris would otherwise be brought into an interior space of the handle when the blade is retracted into the front end of the handle through the opening. The spreader is constructed and arranged to spread the resilient blade wiper members apart to facilitate removal of the blade from the handle when the blade is in a blade change position.

  • Patent number: 9421672
Abstract: A clamp assembly that can be installed on and removed from its mounting on an elongated structure (e.g., 2×4) without the need for sliding past an end of the structure is disclosed. The clamp assembly may include a pair of clamp bodies with pads for engaging a workpiece. Each of the clamp bodies includes a clamp mount with a movable member arranged to be moved into forced engagement with an exterior surface (e.g., side) of the 2×4 to fix the clamp body on the 2×4. At least one of or both of the clamp bodies include a releasable connection that, when released, allows for the removal of the clamp body from the 2×4 without the need to longitudinally slide the body past an end of the 2×4.
