Abstract: A detachable thermal insulating device for containing radiant heat produced by an oven includes at least one detachable insulating panel having one surface in contact with the external surface of the oven, the other surface facing away from the oven. The panel has a layer of thermal insulating material that is covered by a flexible heat-resistant covering. The insulating device also includes at least one fastener for holding one of its surfaces in contact with the oven surface. The insulating device substantially reduces the dissipation of heat from the oven to its surroundings.
