  • Publication number: 20230177607
Abstract: A method for detecting and tracking tainted cryptographic wallets. The method measures a wallet's propensity to engage in criminal or suspicious activity. Naturally, transacting with a criminal is tantamount either to funding crime or laundering its proceeds, so it is in our collective interest to identify—and then monitor or quarantine—any wallet with criminal association. The method also automatically flags risky withdrawal requests in real-time for further review before committing them to the blockchain. In some embodiments, the exchange can quarantine wallets at a certain AddressScore.

The chest member includes a chest engagement surface. The multi-position connection is located between the chest member and the chin member, and is adapted to maintain an angle between the chest member and the chin member in a collapsed angle of a collapsed configuration and in a plurality of expanded angles greater than the collapsed angle. The multi-position connection includes an angle adjustment actuator adapted to permit the angle between the chest member and the chin member to be changed or maintained. • Patent number: 9611958
Abstract: A pipe coupling system includes first and second polymeric, thermoplastic pipes secured to each other by a pipe coupling. The pipe coupling includes a mechanical sealing surface adapted to receive a mechanical seal, a fusion seal, or both. The pipe coupling includes a pipe coupling body with an outer surface and a first end and an oppositely positioned second end. First and second respective threads are respectively defined about the first and second ends. A nut is used in the pipe coupling system when the mechanical seal is used to join the pipe first ends to seal against the coupling inner surface. A mechanical capture ring is also included, which defines a central aperture having inwardly angled engagement prongs that are sized to capture the respective first ends of the pipe. The engagement prongs are configured to each include a sloping face.

  • Patent number: 9584232
Abstract: A computer simulates flight routes for simulated airborne transmitters across a spatial region divided into unit area tiles and over time based on actual aircraft flight plan data. The computer determines transmitter counts per tile per time interval based on the flight routes and assigns transmit parameters, including transmit message rates, to the transmitters. The computer determines transmit message rates per tile based on the transmitter counts and the transmit parameters. The computer generates, for a simulated receiver, an antenna pattern covering at least some of the tiles, and converts the transmit message rates of the covered tiles to a total effective receive message rate of interfering messages at the receiver. The computer determines a probability of successful detection of a desired message among the interfering messages at the receiver based on the effective receive message rate.

  • Publication number: 20130246128
Abstract: A system for determining viewership of articles or ads in printed publications and using the determined viewership to determine author compensation, ad rates, or other historical or demographic related information is described. The system receives text capture information of portions of a number of rendered documents that is generated by capture devices operated by a number of users. The system searches digital content using the received capture information and determines a readership value for components of the rendered document based upon the search.

  • Patent number: 7811133
Abstract: A connector for a shielded electrical cable. The cable has at least one insulated central conductor surrounded by conductive shielding. The connector comprises a dielectric spacing element for receiving the at least one central conductor of the cable and a conductive shielding arrangement provided around the spacing element and having a first end which defines an annular surface for contacting the shielding of the cable. The connector further comprises a spring arrangement coupled to the shielding arrangement for resiliently urging the shielding of the cable against the annular surface of the shielding arrangement to thereby provide a reliable electrical connection between the cable and the shielding arrangement.

  • Publication number: 20080095215
Abstract: A receiving system allows for the coherent detection of a spread-spectrum transmission at any point in time during the transmission, thereby avoiding the need to identify the start of the transmission during the transmission-detection process. An input buffer captures the transmissions on a communication channel using a moving time-window. A detector processes a time-slice from the input buffer and identifies all of the simultaneously transmitting transmitters during that time-slice. As each transmitter is identified, the demodulator traces back-in-time to identify where the message can first be detected in the input buffer. The transmission includes suitable characteristics to facilitate detection and demodulation of the message content, but need not contain a preamble to allow the detection process.
