  • Publication number: 20080086018
Abstract: A process for producing phenol and methyl ethyl ketone comprises contacting benzene with a C4 alkylating agent under alkylation conditions with catalyst comprising zeolite beta or a molecular sieve having an X-ray diffraction pattern including d-spacing maxima at 12.4±0.25, 6.9±0.15, 3.57±0.07 and 3.42±0.07 Angstrom to produce an alkylation effluent comprising sec-butylbenzene. The sec-butylbenzene is then oxidized to produce a hydroperoxide and the hydroperoxide is decomposed to produce phenol and methyl ethyl ketone.

  • Publication number: 20080077474
Abstract: A system, method and framework incorporates one or more analytical engines and sensitivity models to process data and project real-time or near-real-time threats, risks, vulnerabilities and/or opportunities statically or continuously. Response assessments can be reflected on a graphical interface so as to provide a consolidated depiction of threats, risks, vulnerabilities and/or opportunities. Response assessments can also be reflected as one or more signal controls to a physical device.

  • Publication number: 20070088750
Abstract: The present invention provides a system and method for geospatially enabling electronic communication protocols. The automatic attachment of additional information to standard communication protocols georeferences the origin and destination of all data passing through the protocols. Georeferenced data transport allows for efficient aggregation from and broadcast to spatial regions and locations through a spatially hierarchical routing network that processes, filters, and redirects data at the lowest level possible. Georeferencing also facilitates location-sensitive data requests and continuously updating situational awareness.

  • Publication number: 20060144344
Abstract: A pet restraint system may include a tether attached to a movable restraint member. The tether is attached to an animal's collar by means of a connector at one end and is affixed to the restraint member at the opposite end. The tether may be formed from a braided polyvinyl chloride (PVC) line threaded through a plurality of sheaths that prevent the tethering line from kinking or wearing as the pet moves within a fenced area.

  • Publication number: 20050255842
Abstract: A communication system and method coordinates data collection resources, both in the field and remotely, in real-time so as to rapidly collect, organize and manage frequently changing geospatial information on a cellular level. The present invention further provides a system and method for ensuring the accuracy of data collection, including a rewards system which can reward formal and informal/ad hoc “field” agents for providing information pertaining to particular cells within an area of interest.

  • Patent number: 6427142
Abstract: An intelligent agent workbench is disclosed for developing a computer-based intelligent agent that can be inserted between a system and an individual performing a pre-defined function with the system and/or that can supplant such function performed by such individual. In the workbench, an agent author allows a workbench user to create and modify an intelligent agent in a graphical representation. The workbench also has an execution engine for executing a non-graphical representation of the agent both within the workbench and outside the workbench as a stand-alone agent, and an interpreter for automatically translating between the non-graphical and graphical representations. The agent has an instance structure representing a current problem instance, perception structures, task performance structures, and a priority structure.
