  • Publication number: 20200179809
Abstract: Systems and methods enable most valuable players (MVPs) of a gameplay session to play a bonus gameplay session where other players (non-MVP players) participate as player-spectators in online video games and, through a collective voting mechanism or through active interaction, determine the occurrence of certain events or contents of the bonus gameplay in real time. In this manner, non-MVP players are able to directly affect the course of the bonus gameplay.

  • Patent number: 10635070
Abstract: A programming module, systems, and methods for programming a motor controller coupled to a motor are provided. The programming module includes a connector for coupling to a system control wire harness of a system control board and a wire harness for coupling to a motor connector of the motor controller such that the programming module is serially coupled between the system control board and the motor controller. The module also includes a tap detection circuit coupled to the connector for detecting which tap of a plurality of motor taps is called by the system control board. A wireless communication device is configured to transmit an identification of the called tap wirelessly to a programming computing device, receive an adjusted operating parameter for the motor that is associated with the called tap from the programming computing device, and transmit, via the wire harness, the adjusted operating parameter to the motor controller.

  • Publication number: 20200050536
Abstract: The disclosure relate to testing software for operating an autonomous vehicle. For instance, a first simulation may be run using log data and the software to control a first simulated vehicle. During this, one or more characteristics of the simulated vehicle may be compared with one or more characteristics of a vehicle from the log data. The comparison may be used to determine a divergence point for starting a timer. In addition, a second simulation may be run using the log data and the software to control a second simulated vehicle. The divergence point may be used to determine a handover time to allow the software to take control of the second simulated vehicle. Whether the software is able to continue through the first simulation before the timer expires without a particular type of event occurring and/or the second simulation without the particular type of event occurring is determined.

  • Patent number: 10038348
Abstract: A liner for use for a resilient stator of an electric machine for positioning between teeth formed in the stator. The stator is conformable from a first generally extending shape with opposed spaced apart ends and to a second generally hollow circular shape. The liner includes a central portion for positioning in a cavity between the adjacent teeth, a first end portion for limiting motion of the liner extending from the central portion and adapted to cooperate with a first end face of the stator, and a second end portion extending from the central portion and cooperating with a second end face of the stator, opposed to the first end face. The first end portion limits motion of the liner. The liner is positioned between adjacent teeth when the stator is in the first shape and remains in the cavity when the stator is in the second shape.

  • Patent number: 9836895
Abstract: An autonomous vehicle is tested using virtual objects. The autonomous vehicle is maneuvered, by one or more computing devices, the autonomous vehicle in an autonomous driving mode. Sensor data is received corresponding to objects in the autonomous vehicle's environment, and virtual object data is received corresponding to a virtual object in the autonomous vehicle's environment. The virtual object represents a real object that is not in the vehicle's environment. The autonomous vehicle is maneuvered based on both the sensor data and the virtual object data. Information about the maneuvering of the vehicle based on both the sensor data and the virtual object data may be logged and analyzed.

  • Patent number: 9697606
Abstract: Methods and systems for object detection using laser point clouds are described herein. In an example implementation, a computing device may receive laser data indicative of a vehicle's environment from a sensor and generate a two dimensional (2D) range image that includes pixels indicative of respective positions of objects in the environment based on the laser data. The computing device may modify the 2D range image to provide values to given pixels that map to portions of objects in the environment lacking laser data, which may involve providing values to the given pixels based on the average value of neighboring pixels positioned by the given pixels. Additionally, the computing device may determine normal vectors of sets of pixels that correspond to surfaces of objects in the environment based on the modified 2D range image and may use the normal vectors to provide object recognition information to systems of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 9477376
Abstract: Various aspects of the subject technology relate to systems, methods, and machine-readable media for prioritizing content items based on a request frequency for a user. A system is configured to receive a request for a user interface containing content items for a user, retrieve, in response to the request for the user interface containing content items for the user, a set of content items for the user, and calculate a request frequency score for the user based on a frequency of user requests for the user interface containing content items for the user. The system may further be configured to adjust a priority score for each content item in the set of content items based on the request frequency score for the user and provide the set of content items for display to the user based on the priority score for each content item.

  • Patent number: 9175637
Abstract: A metal gasket for establishing a gas and fluid-tight seal between two members and which is resistant to temperatures of greater than 430° C. and even up to 540° C. is provided. The metal gasket is made of a 200 series stainless steel which includes, by weight percentage: up to 1.0% Silicon, 3.5-5.5% Manganese, up to 0.060% Phosphorus, up to 0.030% Sulfur, 17.5-19.5% Chromium, 0.50-2.00% Molybdenum, 4.0-6.0% Nickel, 0.10-1.00% Niobium, 0.08-0.30% Nitrogen and the remainder of Iron. This particular alloy has been found to provide the gasket with very high mechanical strength, even at temperatures of up to 540° C. Additionally, due to the low nickel content of the 200 series stainless steel, the metal gasket may be made more cost-effectively than other known metal gaskets.
