  • Patent number: 10383707
Abstract: Systems and methods of repositioning teeth, using one or more appliances for installing on a patient's teeth are described. The appliance includes an arch shaped member; a plurality of spring members coupled to or provided on the arch shaped member; and a plurality of securing members for securing to a corresponding plurality of the patient's teeth on a one-to-one basis, the securing members being supported by the arch shaped member. The arch shaped member and the plurality of springs, together, comprise a two dimensional structure having a length dimension and a width dimension with varying widths along the length dimension, that is bent into a three dimensional structure.

  • Publication number: 20150300995
Abstract: Methods and apparatus are disclosed for analyzing structures by applying a continuous ultrasonic excitation and measuring steady state response of the structures using laser Doppler vibrometery, or other techniques. In one example, a method comprises applying a continuous signal having one or more periodic tones to the structure, generating measurements of wave response to the signal at each of a plurality of inspection points of the structure, and, for each of the periodic tones, estimating wavenumbers for a number of the inspection points of the structure based on the wave response measurements and the frequency of the periodic tones. The estimated wavenumbers can be used to determine properties of the structure, including defects, damage, or variation in thickness.

  • Patent number: 8584904
Abstract: A liquid dish cleaning fluid dispenser having a reservoir adapted to receive liquid dish cleaning fluid, a dispensing port located at the bottom of the reservoir and a manually operated cantilevered member pivotally coupled to a plastic support base located below the reservoir and attached to a base member which supports the reservoir. A release lever is located at the end of the cantilevered member for moving downward the cantilevered member and a valve member is located in the cantilevered member which engages the dispensing port in the reservoir to allow cleaning fluid to flow out of the reservoir when the release lever is manually urged to moved downward. The plastic manually operated cantilevered member springs back to it's initial up position to close the valve member to prevent fluid from flowing out of the reservoir when the release lever is no longer manually urged to move downward.

  • Publication number: 20080095188
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for maintaining the maximum achievable data rate on a DSL line, up to and including a rate to which a user subscribes is described. Performance monitoring is conducted on the DSL line on an ongoing basis to determine noise margins in each direction. Each noise margin is compared against pre-determined decreasing/increasing thresholds to determine whether the line characteristics dictate a data rate change without loss of synchronization. The invention supports dynamic provisioning changes including application driven service level change requests, e.g., new bandwidth-on demand services. In some embodiments, a combination of existing and new embedded operations channel (EOC) messages are used to implement the modem data rate changes. New EOC messages may be implemented using some of the reserved and/or vendor proprietary Opcodes currently permitted. Modem assigned data rate changes are implemented without a disruption of service, e.g.
