  • Publication number: 20030121809
Abstract: The present invention involves a retaining device to retain an object having indicia for display. The retaining device includes first and second side walls spaced opposite each other, wherein each side wall has opposite ends. The retaining device further includes first and second retaining walls connecting the side walls together. Each retaining wall is connected to one end of each side wall to space apart the retaining walls opposite each other forming an inner space. Each retaining wall has outer and inner surfaces, wherein the inner surface of the first retaining wall has an aperture therethrough and a first lip extending from the inner surface toward the inner space to contact the object when retained within the inner space.

  • Patent number: 5102276
Abstract: A removable threaded fastener is provided which comprises a head component; an externally threaded shank component; and a resilient linking means connecting the head and shank components. The fastener has a longitudinal opening adapted to receive a tool for the application of torque in a driving engagement with the shank component without an integral torque transfer means. Also provided is a method for removably fastening a work piece using the removable threaded fastener by inserting the fastener through a threaded aperture in the work piece; inserting the tool into the longitudinal opening; applying torque to the shank component sufficient to cause axial displacement of the shank component against the resilient biasing of the linking means to maintain the head and shank components in axial tension; and removing the tool.

  • Patent number: 5061137
Abstract: A fastener is provided which comprises a head component; a barbed shank component; and a resilient linking means connecting the head and shank components. The fastener has a longitudinal opening adapted to receive a tool for the application of force in a driving engagement with the shank component. Also provided is a method of fastening a plate member to an internally ribbed work piece using this fastener by engaging the fastener with the ribbed aperture in the work piece; inserting the tool into the longitudinal opening; and applying force to the shank component sufficient to cause axial displacement of the shank component against the resilient biasing of the linking means to maintain the head and shank components in axial tension.

  • Patent number: 4854797
Abstract: A threaded fastener comprises a head component for the application of torque to the fastener, an externally threaded shank portion, a resilient linking member for interconnecting the head component and the shank portion a certain axial distance apart and for resiliently biasing against axial displacement of the shank portion from the head component a distance other than such certain axial distance, and a torque transmitting mechanism for transmitting torque from the head component to the shank portion. The torque transmitting mechanism is able to transmit sufficient torque from the head component to the shank portion to cause axial displacement of the shank portion in an aperture in a work piece against the resilient biasing of the resilient linking member, whereby the resilient member is elongated and put in axial tension.
