  • Patent number: 11931879
Abstract: A power tool is provided including a housing; an electric motor disposed within the housing; a main trigger switch mounted on the housing; a side handle mounted on the housing, the side handle having an auxiliary trigger; and a controller disposed within the housing operable to control a flow of electric current from a power source to the electric motor. The controller activates the motor only if the main trigger and the auxiliary trigger are both actuated. If the one of the triggers is released while the other trigger is still engaged, the controller is configured to continue operating the motor only if the released trigger is reengaged within a time threshold, but otherwise discontinue operating the motor until both the main trigger and the auxiliary triggers are released and reengaged.

  • Patent number: 7106875
Abstract: In general, a three dimensional microphone and a three dimensional hearing aid is described. The microphone and hearing aid typically have two boundaries that contribute to the increased frequency response and three dimensional response of the microphone. A microphone element is oriented in and flush with the first boundary which is typically the forward face of a hearing aid. A second boundary, which is typically a boundary button is oriented above and generally parallel with the microphone element creating an overall improvement in frequency response.

  • Patent number: 4615007
Abstract: An audiological analyzer includes a speaker (12) for generating soundwaves, which are generated by a test pattern generator (20). A frequency/level shaper (18) is disposed between the test pattern generator (20) and the speaker (12) for determining both the level and the frequency response of a given signal. A TDS/ETC analyzer (28) is connected to a transducer (34) which is disposed adjacent the ear (14) of a patient. The analyzer (28) allows for exact inplace measurement of the medium through which the soundwaves are transmitted. This information is stored in a memory (40) in the form of a calibration response curve. This data available in order to compensate for attenuation through the medium. This compensation ensures proper sound pressure level delivery to the ear (14). In addition, the frequency/level shaper (18) has equalizers (90) and (92) disposed therein for entering a predetermined response.
