  • Patent number: 5662399
Abstract: A ready-to-assemble cabinet including two upstanding side panels, at least two fixed shelves between the side panels, a folding back panel attached to the side panels, and hardware for holding the components together. The cabinet may optionally include additional fixed and adjustable shelves. The back panel is preattached to the side panels by the manufacturer to create a back panel/side panel sub-assembly. The back panel includes a number of vertically scored fold lines running from top to bottom, which delineate longitudinal sections of the back panel. The scored fold lines permit the sub-assembly to be folded accordion-style for packaging, whereby the back panel sections are sandwiched between the side panels. Serrated plastic dowel pins hold the shelves to the side panels to eliminate the need for tools and/or adhesives and permit assembly of the cabinet in only three to five minutes.

  • Patent number: 4148122
Abstract: A method for repairing holes and rust areas in automobile and truck bodies comprising the steps of identifying or providing a cavity behind the hole or rust area, filling said cavity with a moldable plastic material which will harden as a closed cell foam and provide a support base behind the hole or rust area, removing any hardened plastic support material on the surface of the body which does not conform to a desired body surface contour, applying a plastic filler to the area, the plastic filler being selected from the class consisting of a polyester resin and filler mixed with a catalyst or an epoxy resin and filler mixed with a catalyst, and grinding the surface of the plastic filler to a feathered edge at the surface of the metal surface.

  • Patent number: 4148153
Abstract: Hoop propelling trundle of the hoop capturing type characterized by a resilient circular split ring, preferably in the form of a helix of somewhat less than a single convolution, with ends normally spaced apart a distance less than the cross sectional diameter of the propelled hoop and which may be sprung apart in the direction normal to the plane of the ring to provide an enlarged opening between its ends to permit the hoop to pass therethrough for detachably connecting the hoop and ring. The ends of the ring are disposed at its forward or capturing end and both ends engage the hoop when rolling in engagement therewith during arresting of the forward motion of the hoop. The ring is also circular in cross section to provide the same rolling contact therewith in various positions of tilt of the plane of the hoop relative to a horizontal surface.
