The shade structure includes a thin translucent layer including an artwork pattern or image formed thereon or embedded therein. Light emitted by the light source passes through the shade structure and the artwork, then through the fixture lens and into the space, producing a lighting effect different from that produced by the light fixture in the absence of the shade.
