  • Publication number: 20030129944
Abstract: A system and method of monitoring and controlling operation and performance of a remote device or system implement a wireless interface and standardized wireless communication protocols in monitor and control applications. In one embodiment, a system and method of monitoring and controlling a remote device through a wireless interface are operative in accordance with Bluetooth(™) protocol architecture.

  • Publication number: 20030120367
Abstract: A system and method of logging audio signal data implement a data buffer and a non-volatile data storage medium. Acquired audio data may be stored in the buffer temporarily, for example, until a threshold amount or volume of data has accumulated in the buffer. Buffered audio and other data may be written to the nonvolatile storage medium in large blocks, minimizing the number of write operations to the non-volatile storage medium. System or process diagnostics may be performed based upon analysis of the acquired audio signal data. Additionally, monitored audio signal data may be employed for real-time process or system control.

Abstract: A system and method of data logging implement a data buffer and a non-volatile data storage medium. Acquired data may be stored in the buffer temporarily until a threshold amount or volume of data has accumulated in the buffer. Buffered data may then be written to the non-volatile storage medium in large blocks, minimizing the number of write operations experienced by the non-volatile storage medium.

  • Publication number: 20020169825
Abstract: A control method, apparatus, and system capable of monitoring or controlling. Aspects of the present invention relate in general to a system that controls and monitors remote devices through a standard interface that easily facilitates human or machine input through remote electronic data interchange. The system, method and apparatus enable monitoring and control through the exchange of extensible Markup Language (XML) formatted data.
