  • Patent number: 6695564
Abstract: A self-loading cart for a greens mower including a wheel-supported mobile frame with a tilting bed pivotally mounted to the frame for movement between a rearwardly and downwardly inclined loading position and an upwardly pivoted substantially horizontal loaded position. As the bed moves to the loaded position, a locking tongue on the mobile platform projects through the bed and engages the loaded mower for a retention of the mower. Simultaneously, a latch automatically engages between a support beam of the bed and the mobile platform to lock the bed in the loaded position.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 20, 2002
Date of Patent: February 24, 2004

  • Patent number: 6550705
Abstract: A comminuting mechanism is disclosed that includes a rotatable drive shaft which supports a plurality of blades, each blade having both straight arms and arms having angled tip portions. The shaft and blades are supported on a frame within a hood, and the frame is pulled along a ground surface by a tractor or other vehicle. Debris is pulled into the housing by the combined action of the forward motion of the vehicle and an inward airflow generated by fan members on the rotating blades, pulverized by the action of the blades, and discharged through an outlet.

  • Patent number: 6098387
Abstract: A ground clearing machine including a mobile frame supporting a perforated drum positioned to receive debris upon forward movement of the frame. An internal driven shaft pivotally mounts flails and flexible blades alternating with the flails. The combined action of the flails and blades pulverizes the debris for rearward discharge through the drum perforations.
