  • Patent number: 10307267
Abstract: A system for implanting an acetabular prosthesis includes a striker arrangement having a handle and a striker shaft with a distal end configured to engage an acetabular prosthesis. An elongate buttress shaft defines a longitudinal axis and is configured to receive the striker shaft therethrough; it is attachable to the striker shaft such that the distal end of the striker shaft extends beyond a distal face of the buttress shaft. The distal face has a larger diameter than a diameter of the distal end of the striker shaft and has a curved surface oriented transversely to the longitudinal axis.
