  • Publication number: 20230080530
Abstract: A vehicular sensing system includes a first set of first sensors disposed at a first rear portion of a vehicle. The system includes a second set of second sensors disposed at a second rear portion of the vehicle that is above the first rear portion of the vehicle. A respective first field of sensing of at least one first sensor at least partially overlaps a respective second field of sensing of at least one second sensor. The system includes an electronic control unit (ECU) for processing sensor data to detect objects that are located within the at least partially overlapping fields of sensing of the at least one first sensor and the at least one second sensor. The vehicular sensing system, responsive to detecting the objects that are located within the at least partially overlapping fields of sensing, determines three-dimensional locations of the detected objects relative to the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 10614255
Abstract: A computer-implemented land planning system is designed to generate at least one conceptual fit solution to a user-defined land development problem. The system employs a computer readable medium and a computer program encoded on the medium. The computer program is operable, when executed on a computer, for electronically creating at least one candidate solution to the land development problem. The candidate solution incorporates a plurality of engineering measurements applicable in development of an undeveloped land site. Existing GIS data is collected for the selected undeveloped land site. A fitness function quantitatively evaluates the candidate solution based on its cost. A heuristic problem-solving strategy manipulates the engineering measurements of the candidate solution to achieve a more quantitatively fit solution to the land development problem. Documentation illustrating the fit solution to the land development problem is delivered to the user.

Abstract: A computer-implemented land planning system is designed to generate at least one conceptual fit solution to a user-defined land development problem. The system electronically creates at least one candidate solution to the land development problem. The candidate solution incorporates a number of engineering measurements applicable in development of an undeveloped land site. A fitness function quantitatively evaluates the candidate solution based on its fitness. A heuristic problem-solving strategy manipulates the engineering measurements of the candidate solution to achieve a more quantitatively fit solution to the land development problem. A computer output device outputs to a user documentation illustrating the fit solution to the land development problem.

  • Publication number: 20180070631
Abstract: A conventional cigarette pack includes a thin pouch of heat-resistant flexible material disposed therein. The pouch has a recloseable top opening that is sized to permit a cigarette butt to be placed in the pouch following withdrawal of a cigarette from the pack. The pouch expands to fill the space in the pack created when each successive cigarette is withdrawn to be smoked. When the entire contents of the pack are consumed by the smoker, the pack and/or the pouch filled with butts can responsibly be disposed of to avoid adverse environmental impact.

  • Patent number: 8584267
Abstract: A manual toilet seat lifter apparatus is provided for lifting and lowering a toilet seat and toilet seat cover. A riser rod is pivotally connected to a hinge pin supported on the toilet seat. A handle is connected to a top end of the riser rod, and a counterweight is connected to a bottom end of the riser rod. An engagement member on the riser rod proximal to the counterweight is adapted to engage a hook provided on the toilet seat cover so that the toilet seat and cover both may be lowered simultaneously upon manipulation of the handle on the riser arm.

  • Patent number: 8087104
Abstract: A manual toilet seat lifter apparatus is provided for lifting and lowering a toilet seat and includes strap hinge members connected to the toilet seat. A hinge pin is received in the strap hinge members. A riser rod is connected to the hinge pin. A handle is connected to a top end of the riser rod, and a counterweight is connected to a bottom end of the riser rod. Preferably, a horizontal transition portion is connected between the hinge pin and the riser rod. Preferably, a horizontal extension portion is connected to the riser rod at a location on the riser rod which is opposite to the horizontal transition portion. With a second embodiment of the invention, which is a combined toilet seat lifter and toilet seat cover lifter apparatus, toilet seat cover lifting means are provided for lifting and lowering a toilet seat cover.
