    Abstract: An apparatus and method for mounting a leaf spring suspension system to a vehicle is provided comprising three spring pins, two shackles, four wear washers, and four fastening bolts, wherein one spring pin and two fastening bolts mount and secure a first end of the leaf spring suspension system to the vehicle and two spring pins, two shackles, and two fastening bolts mount and secure a second end of the leaf spring suspension system to the vehicle. Washers are located between the shackles and the leaf spring, as well as between the shackles and the suspension bracket, the washers being made of a material having a hardness less than that of an adjacent component.

    Abstract: An improved cab for a cab-over-engine configured tractor has a driver's seat mounted to a floor of the cab wherein the floor is substantially flat. The tractor includes a frame for supporting the cab. An engine is mounted to the frame substantially beneath the cab, yet rearward of the floor so that the floor may be substantially flat. Auxiliary devices such as the radiator, radiator fan, and alternator are mounted to the frame remote from the engine and powered by a drive train that extends from the auxiliary devices to the engine.

    Abstract: An easily adjustable lower radiator mount for a cab-over-engine truck, for adjusting the clearance between the radiator and a tunnel through the tilt cab. The mount lies behind a front bumper. The radiator bottom member has a pair of vertical, upwardly extending blind threaded openings, while the truck frame has a cross member below the bottom member provided with a wide, internally threaded opening in line with each blind opening. A threaded stud extends up from below the cross member, through each wide opening, and is threaded into each blind opening. A tubular adjusting member, is threaded into the wide threaded opening and has a flange extending out radially from its upper end; it also has a lower externally keyed portion, in which a lug nut is internally keyed. The lug nut has a keyed exterior for engagement by a wrench. Upper spacing means bears against the radiator bottom member and surrounds the stud, while lower spacing means bears against a locking nut at the lower end of the stud.
